Looking for map help; drawing, and/or loading maps

Hi all! As the topic says, I am looking for some map help. I've been trying out a LOT of different online tabletop programs this last two weeks, trying to find 'the one.' So far, I really like roll20, as it seems very intuitive, and works well for my group for the most part. The one trouble area I'm having here, and and many other programs, is with maps. I'll be blunt: I am terrible at drawing maps. Still, I like to try as to bring my visions to life in some form or another. I was hoping to ask how other people draw their maps, and if you use another program, how would you get your map onto roll20? If anyone master map makers can assist a noob, I'd be very grateful!
Hi Vicky D., First of all, you don't need maps for role playing games. However, if you like them, here are a few threads with many great suggestions: "What dungeon creation tools are out there?" (<a href="http://community.roll20.net/discussion/3001/what-dungeon-creation-tools-are-out-there#Item_1" rel="nofollow">http://community.roll20.net/discussion/3001/what-dungeon-creation-tools-are-out-there#Item_1</a>) "Game Resources" (<a href="http://community.roll20.net/discussion/290/game-resources#Item_1" rel="nofollow">http://community.roll20.net/discussion/290/game-resources#Item_1</a>) Vicky D. said, how would you get your map onto roll20? Placing a map into Roll20 is as follows: just drag and drop the graphic file from your computer (JPG, PNG . . .) into a Roll20 page. Next step is to adjust the background image or map size to match the page canvas size, or to adjust the canvas size to match the image or map size. (While currently these adjustments are done manually, there could be an auto-fit option as well.) For more specific info on this, you can check the Help & Docs section: <a href="http://help.roll20.net/tabletop/" rel="nofollow">http://help.roll20.net/tabletop/</a> <a href="http://help.roll20.net/page-toolbar-page-settings/" rel="nofollow">http://help.roll20.net/page-toolbar-page-settings/</a>
We are currently working on creating a video tutorial series to help people with map creation. When it is complete we will be posting a thread in the forums.
For whatever reason, when I try to load my map from tiled, it gives me an error. It's under the size limit and the right file type, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any ideas?
EDIT: Opps, my bad. I misread the size of the file; it was too large. I tried another file and it worked fine. My bad!
