"There is no good and evil only gold" Hello and welcome to the Highlands! This is a D&D 5E campaign set in a home-brow world made by ayoub b. the gm for this campaign. Currently we have lost a couple players to unforeseen circumstances so we are reaching out in hopes of having two new players join in this little campaign. At the moment we have a Paladin, a dex based Fighter, a Sorcerer, and a Ranger/Rogue, so use your best judgement as to what you think would complement the group. One last point is that just with people leaving we now have an elf/ half-elf dominated group so we would really prefer any new characters to be a different races. Background: It is 1000 years since the demon invasion and the world has moved on. Heroes have come and gone, with some only remembered by their deeds, while others have their names across the land. One hundred years after Tiamath's attack the world would know that she was responsible for everything that had happened and they would know that the dragonborns were their champions. To this day the dragon council holds great power, although they have mostly kept to themselves. As for the adventurers, well they have been causing a bit of trouble. After years of uncompleted tasks and stolen money the general public grew to distrust any random strangers prancing into their towns, promising to rid the people of all their woes. To combat this the Guild was formed, those who counted themselves among that number were held to a higher standard, but soon the only way to even make a living taking the odd and dangerous jobs of this world was if you held a Guild tag. Now this is where you come in, perhaps having the title of mercenary is not as glamorous as some might say, but it keeps you fed and if you play your cards right you can rise through the ranks. Perhaps you have joined for money, for glory, for power, maybe you just want to feel the thrill of battle, either way you will not be judged that is, as long as your keep to your contracts. Rules 1. Please, please, please, do not apply to this campaign if you don't have time, we have had trouble we people not making sessions, and just dropping out. We understand that life will get in the way at times but I must still stress this point. 2. Anyone making racist, homophobic, anti-anything, insults toward any of the other players will be kicked out and reported. Of course this only applies to out of character interactions, in character you can say pretty much whatever(example dwarf calling the elf pointy ears .... ). 3. All players are welcomed from newbies and pros 4. You can use any class/race, but keep in mind the party of the players are a mercenary group motivated by greed or personal agenda. Do not expect any great evil or saving the world, as before there is no evil or good there is only gold 5. Please use your head, if you are meta-gaming and just making purposefully foolish choices expect consequences. The DM might not kill you but he will make things very tough for your character from there on out. Character Creation -We are using the point buy system you get 30 points to spend -Since this campaign has already started you will be starting at level 7 -For gold you will be starting with 2500 to buy all your gear -Spell components are free as long as they are less then 1000 gold -Everyone gets a free feat at level 1, so yes humans can have 2 including the racial feat -To apply please post in the campaign listing , if you have any questions about the setting or the story so far please feel free to contact either myself or the DM ayoub b.
