Can't export my character

I recently became a plus member so that I could export my character across games (I'm a player in the bladeandbow pathfinder group, which is similar to the pathfinder society), but I haven't been able to successfully do so, and the steps I've found don't seem to be working. I've had one of the DMs enable the option on their game, and I've exported my character, and was told that I was successful in doing so. However, on the DM's side, the character he got seems to have been an auto-generated empty sheet, and NOT the one that I created. The game I've tried exporting to is https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/1237593/zolar-table Other players have told me that the DM must have a plus account as well as myself. Is this true, or are we doing something wrong, or is this a bug?

Hi Craig, first off make sure you have the right character in your vault (the amount of times i've used an old or duplicate one which wasn't complete is ridiculous!), if your DM has enabled the ability to import players please follow the steps below from the wiki to export your character from the vault, other than the enabling of rights the DM shouldn't need to do any more (i suspect these are the steps you've followed but for reference...): Exporting Characters When you are ready to use a Character from your Vault in a new game, click the "Export to Game" link next to the Character on the main Vault page. You'll be presented with a list of eligible Games to export the Character to. Note that you can only export Characters to Games where: 1. You are the GM of the Game, or 2. You are a player of the Game and the GM has expressly turned on the "Allow Players to Import Characters" setting on the Game Settings page for that Game. If a Game you want to export a Character to isn't showing up in the list, be sure that one of those criteria are met, and then reload the page. Once the Character is exported to the Game, it will be up to the GM of that game to set it up (giving you permission to edit it) properly. If you have followed the above and are still experiencing issues please could you carefully work through the first three steps of our guide to Solving Technical Issues ? Step 1: Make sure to use the right browser Please check if these issues persist when using both Chrome and Firefox. Step 2: Ensure that there are no extensions/addons interfering with Roll20 Please disable all add-ons/extensions and anti-virus programs. Step 3: Clear your cache If none of the above succeeds, please thoroughly work through Step 4 . (Don't forget the complete Console Log!) It may also be of benefit if your DM could do this also incase the problem lies on his side. Thank you!
Interestingly, I tried again with a different type of sheet (I was using the "Pathfinder" sheet template before, and I instead tried the "Pathfinder (Legacy Layout)") and it worked. I'm not sure if the issue was that the game I was trying to export to was set as the legacy sheet, or if there's a problem with the first one I tried. In any case, I think I'm good now, though there might still be something to investigate if y'all were interested. Thanks! -Craig

If you were trying to transfer a character between games, and those games were using different sheets, that is definitely a reason why the sheet would appear to be empty when you load it up in the 2nd game. The attributes are possibly all named differently because most sheets are all designed by different people and in no way follow the same naming convention. I'm glad you were able to get everything working though. Since, it seems like you were able to solve the issue yourself and everything is working I'm going to go ahead and Resolve and close the thread. If you have any further issues please feel free to open a new thread and we will try to help there.
