Avatar with "stuck" effects

Hi all. Been away for a long time and forgotten more than i remember.  I have a character token in the Journal that I can add to one map ok, but any other map I add it too the token has a large red cross overlayed and a red circle in the top right. I have tried turning off the effects via the radial menu but it doesn't save the state. I can add an effect and remove same effect but not the cross or the red dot. Any ideas? Thanks in advance
It's possible that you linked that token to the journal in that state so every time you pull it to the table it has those states already selected. You wold need to relink the token to the journal without those states saved.  See Linking Tokens  here
Another idea is that you may have a script running that automatically adds a red dot and/or X based on hit point value.  Try changing some of the bar values, see if the X and dot go away.
