Skill check roller not working properly

Forgive me if this is in the wrong place, but in a game I am running/in, the sheets we are using have a skill check roll button. I filled them out properly, and when I use the button to roll the check, it only gives me the base d20 roll, but not the actual check. Yet the other person who is also a GM, can press it and it works exactly like it should. Why? What did I do wrong? We both filled out the sheets the exact same way. Is there something I need to do to get the same result when I press the button? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, Mike D. Could you please post the contents of a sheet button in question? To acquire the contents of a sheet button: Click on the sheet button. Focus the text chat input box (by clicking into to it, or using the Advanced Shortcut : c c). A blue outline will appear around it when it's focused. Press the up arrow key on your keyboard. The contents of the sheet button will then populate the text chat input box; copy and paste it all into a reply.
Umm....I'm not understanding exactly, but it's for the Mutants and Masterminds Sheet. There is a die roll button next to the skill, and when I press it, it only gives me the base roll. The other GM can press it, but it does exactly what it should do
Okay, let's try to find out why that is. I unfortunately can't do much unless I can see the underlying macro code that composes the skill roll. In order to get that code, I'll ask that you please follow the steps outlined in my last post. I'll try to clarify a bit: 1. The sheet button in this case is the "die roll button". 2. Click on the image below to play the .gif. Does this help?

I appreciate the help; I wish I could paste what I'm seeing but it won't let me EDIT: Going to try to type it out in here; hope it works <button name="roll_Stealth-Check" title= "Stealth-Check" class="btn ui-draggable" type="roll"value="@{character_name}'s Stealth check: [[1d20 + @{Stealth}]]"></button> That is the line I see when I "inspect element"
Could you take a screenshot?
@{Yuuki Hanamura|character_name}'s Stealth check: [[1d20 + @{Yuuki Hanamura|Stealth}]] That's the check
Okay! When you paste @{Yuuki Hanamura|Stealth} into the text chat, what does it return?
Just a plain box with the result of a standard d20 roll, no modifiers. But the other GM gets what exactly should happen
@{Yuuki Hanamura|Stealth} should be a number; what number are you getting when you copy and paste @{Yuuki Hanamura|Stealth} from this post into the text chat?

Okay. Please do the following: From the Journal tab of the Sidebar, open Yuuki Hanamura's Character Window . Switch to the Attributes & Abilities Tab . Look for an Attribute named "Stealth". If you are able to find it, delete it. Then, proceed to fill in your stealth modifier/bonus (again) on the Character Sheet. If you are unable to find it, ask your GM to complete the above steps. (Optional) Create a new Attribute named "Stealth" with a Current value corresponding to your stealth modifier/bonus.
Still nothing
Which steps were you able to complete?
I'm the other GM and it's strange that he can't do a stealth check for any character, while I can.
All of them
ok. even after creating a new room, He has still the same problem

darksaibod said: ok. even after creating a new room, He has still the same problem Did you make a copy of the game to do this?
Still nothing; I paste it into the chat box and it doesn't give me anything
darksaibod , did you delete the Stealth Attribute and create a new one with the proper modifier as the Current value?
we just created a new room with the same character sheete. He created a character with stealth ranks etc but it still doesn't work
darksaibod , when you paste @{Yuuki Hanamura|Stealth} into the text chat, what does it return?

I get ((8 + 0) + 7 + 0) 8 Ability and rank7
Let's try one more thing before we move onto more technical troubleshooting. Mike D. , and  darksaibod please work together to try the following: Both Mike D. , and darksaibod : please copy and paste @{Yuuki Hanamura|Stealth-ability}, @{Yuuki Hanamura|Stealth-ranks} and @{Yuuki Hanamura|Stealth-other} into the text chat. Let me know what each of those returns. From the Journal tab of the Sidebar, open Yuuki Hanamura's Character Window . Switch to the Attributes & Abilities Tab . Look for an Attribute named "Stealth-ability". Delete it if it exists. Do the same for "Stealth-ranks" and "Stealth-other". All information for Stealth should be reset on the Character Sheet; have Mike D. fill it out again. Repeat step 1. For Mike D. : additionally test @{Yuuki Hanamura|Stealth} again. If none of the above works, we'll work through the guide to Solving Technical Issues : Step 1: Make sure to use the right browser Please check if these issues persist when using both Chrome and Firefox. Step 2: Ensure that there are no extensions/addons interfering with Roll20 Please disable all add-ons/extensions and anti-virus programs. Step 3: Clear your cache If none of the above succeeds, please thoroughly work through Step 4 . (Don't forget the complete Console Log!) I'm sorry that this is such a long process, but the information you're providing will help others in the future who encounters issues like this. Thank you.
Thank you for all the help - I found the problem after you said Chrome or Firefox; I wasn't using either of those. I was using Internet Explorer. I downloaded and opened Firefox and it's doing exactly what it should be
That's great news, Mike D. I'm glad everything is well now! I'll mark this issue as resolved; please feel welcome to open a new thread for any further issues.
