
Hello! I first want to say that this game is not only to see if it works for Roll20, but for a college project in my game design class. The premise is that it's a tactical shooter that incorporates Roll20's Dynamic Lighting system. Think of this game being a mix of xcom: enemy within/unknown and some other miniatures. Anyone who enjoys stuff like tactical shooters will be able to learn this in no time as the rules also follow in line of the Microlite system (Which it's a super watered down version of D&D for quick and easy play). This game plays heavily off the dynamic lighting but I have made two versions in case people don't have plus/mentor: Light for non dynamic lighting and Dark for dynamic lighting. Each ruleset just tweaks some rules that rely on dynamic lighting such as a game mechanic called HRV (Hyper Reality Visor) that can scan and detect units hidden from view. Here's some quick backstory I developed to give light to the game :) In the wake of severe multi system epidemic, the
political face of the Federation has changed and factions scheme against each
other for power. Traditional full-scale wars a thing of the past, factions must
rely on covert agencies, teams of elite special operatives able to seize and
defend key facilities. The future of humanity is their battleground, where
knowledge is power, technology is a race, and everyone has an agenda. Games last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and a half and I only need 1 or 2 game play tests before I can make tweaks and finalize the game.
