Hello, I'm playing in a game that include exploding dice, kept dice and rerolls in its mechanics. I was rolling 5d10!!>9k2r (5d10, keep 2, compounding on 9s and 10s and rerolling 1s) when I noticed something odd. Occasionally an exploding die would roll a 1, and when this happened the exploding die was discarded along with the 1 as part of the reroll (eg, I would roll a 10, then a 1, then an 8, but instead of getting a result of 18 I would get an 11 and an 8 with the 11 being discarded). I experimented a little more and found that it still occurred when rolling 5d10!!r (5d10, compounding on 10s and rerolling 1s). Is there any known work-around for this? Edit: Further testing indicates that this problem does not occur with 5d10!r (5d10, exploding on 10s and rerolling on 1s), but sadly using exploding dice isn't an option for me since the mechanics of the system dictate that I'll often roll more dice than I keep.
