Winter Is Coming; Back.

Status: Not yet Sanctioned One morning as the last snow is just about to thaw Syvil is walking along the docks of Haven looking out to sea. It is then that he sees it; a huge storm front closing in from the north. It stretches horizon to horizon and flashes can be seen within the thick mass of clouds. He runs to the Tipsy Mermaid; and panting relays the information that a storm is coming. Adolfo raises a pink flag above the inn and soon they are all about reversing the spring preparations; even boarding up some of the windows. This winter is not yet over... Please treat this as a continuation of the winter but with a few restrictions; there can be no training as the extreme situation prevents you from moving around wildly or having privacy. However do enjoy this chance to have some RP (which would not require the intervention of our dear overworked GM) and to knit some bonds with your fellow adventurers! Warm wine all around!
Erolith spends the winter inside the white horse getting to know all the other mages  and talking to Ulrich he tries to find out what the staff and magic book are that he got from the ancient tomb if you could pm me the answer to this question stephen  thanks
Marokin meets up with Erolith to from time to time talk about what was inferred from the scrolls and to see about news on the state of the arcana in this place.

No one has managed to crack the code on the scrolls yet despite working all winter. It is seems it is some sort of key text cipher (the scrolls are strings of numbers that are probably page, line and word numbers. Such codes rely on a book, usually common, that both parties agree upon at the time the code is in use. This type of cipher is incredibly hard to break without knowing the key text but unfortunately the details of this cipher were lost in the fire in the Imperial Hall of Records several years ago.
And such winter comes and winter goes; the hustle and bustle of Haven can once again be heard outside the window, though it is now accompanied not by huffing and puffing of sweating workers but by oaths directed at the chill wind that bites at any skin exposed to its still sharp bite. Yet the first spring greens can be seen fighting their way up on Maladon in the distance as a new year promises new meetings, and partings, for those who would live the iron way.
