Pathfinder Society First Steps-GMT+1

Hello all,  Me and one other player are looking to get involved in pathfinder society so we thought what better way than to run Pathfinder Society First Steps. Which is composed of three scenarios each of which lasts around 3-4 hours.   I will be GMing the scenarios and I would most likely want to start on the 1st of September probably at about 1-3 UK time (GMT+1) and running till you complete the first session.  I am looking for 3-5 extra players and we don't mind if your new to PFS or new to pathfinder altogether. Feel free to mention character ideas. Pathfinder Society info can be found on their website aswell as the guide to organised play which has all your rules for character creation and how you level characters up etc.  Feel free to ask any questions.  EDIT: I plan on using Skype voice chat if everyone is comfortable with that :) Best,  Fraser
Hello, I'm very interested, the times you are planing on playing works very well for me and I think the idea of an ongoing campaign of PFS is great. I do have two PFS compliant level 1 characters, a young Sarenrae cleric that is in the Silver Crusade faction of the society and thinks she can make the world better by shining Sarenrae's light on to it... she is in for a few surprises. The other is a Dwarf fighter who kindly got told to go explore the world outside beyond tight spaced mines where there is a good breeze, Cha8 and has really bad hygiene habits. I am coming back to PnP gaming after a looong break, last played ADnD2 so it has been awhile. Been reading up on the game and feel comfortable with it. 1-3 GMT+1 would work for me, I am GMT-6 so 6am my time actually works for me. I could play at the latest 9pm your time. One question, what voice system are you planning on using? G+, Team speak 3.. Thanks, Kevin
Hi Kevin,  Both those characters sound great :D Im glad the times work for you as for voice system I was planning on using Skype if everybody is comfortable with that :)
First steps are for fresh character's only? Level 2 char do not qualify, right?
Yeah fresh characters only :)
Hey there!  I am Johan, a 19 year ol' dude from Sweden! I am pretty new to DnD, all the expeirence i have is by watching other play it on Youtube and also i have been playing a very home brewn version of DnD for a couple of months so i got the hang of it but there is still alot i'm not 100% sure about since there are LOADS of stuff in DnD to learn. I have never played a Pathfinder game but pathfinder looks very interesting!  I haven't made a Pathfinder character i am afraid and i would appreciate if you now would accept my request of joining this group to have someone a bit experienced join me on skype and help me through the process. I have no problems at all writing Backstory etc for my characters i love doing that part but the part i am not sure with is all the numbers etc, what's good for what and so on. Aight so enough of the bad stuff now what positive things can i bring with me to your session ye might ask? Well i am a rather social guy who loves to have a good laugh, i try to come up with unexpected things to see how the GM reacts to the situation "Ofc if it fits in with what's going on and fits my characters style". I have a bit too much free time atm so i rarely miss a session, and if i do i tell the rest of the members some days prior and also comes with a good reason to why. The time you play is perfect for me since here in Sweden we have GMT+1 :)  If you'd like me to join you can expect me to be a roguish type of player, probably a Bard or a thief. Cheers! //Johan
Hi, I just finished reading Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized play, and I must say I’m very interested in trying this out – I have no experience in PS or Pathfinder, but I do have some experience in the D&D universe. In terms of character I was thinking of something like a Rouge in the Qadira faction, send out to seek for new business opportunities and make sure that any chance of gaining wealth will go in favour of the faction, and of course to make a little for himself on the side. 1-3 GMT+1 works for me if its in weekends, I am about to start a session of WH40k: Dark Heresy but that's on Saturday (august 31.) so that should not be a problem. Regard R.

Pathfinder society guide chapter 2 is the character creation guide, only 4 pages and fairly simple. 1.  Ability Scores. Use the purchase system, all your ability scores start at 10 and you get 20 'points' to raise/lower you abilities. No Abilities above 18 or lower then 7, race ability adjustments happen after this. SCORE POINTS(20) 7 -4 8 -2 9 -1 10 0 11 1 12 2 13 3 14 5 15 7 16 10 17 13 18 17 2. Class and Race.  The classes and races from the Core rulebook are unchanged, if you want to use an archetype of your class there may be a few changes but they are found in the society guide (page7-8). 3. Language.  Common is free for all, your race and class may give you more,  but if you have an Int modifier you can choose more. 4. Skills.  Same as in the core rule book. 5. Feats. Pick your feats , no crafting or item creation feats as well as no scroll creation and no leadership. 6. Faction.  Pick a faction that best fits your alignment and back story. 7. Traits.  Pick 2 traits , only one trait per category, you cant have all combat or all casting. Your faction as addition traits you can pick from but I cant find a website that shows what they are, but they can be found in the Pathfinder Society Guide. I like to pick traits that fill in my back story. 8. Hit Points.  We wont be rolling HP in PFS, instead you get your max HP for level 1 then a set amount according to your class after that. 9. Equipment.  150Gold to buy anything as long as its listed as 'always available' in the core rulebook. I think you have to record and track all items bought that are over 25gold. I'm not sure if Fraser's game is going to be a recorded game or playing to just test the water so I do not know if you will need to register your character on the PFS site . or you can just download some pregenerated characters. I still new so if something needs to be corrected let me know.
I might use the premade Barbarian, it will simplify things.
