Trouble With Linking Journal Entries (5e Character Sheets)

I'm trying to figure out how Roll20 works. Right now I'm struggling with what the limits of hyperlinking are and google isn't help me :-( When using the 5e shaped sheet and the player community I can link [put text here] in the bio field of my character entries to other journal entries but when using the character sheet portion of those characters the links don't seem to work. Is this WAD? I've seen somebody use a custom character sheet where everything was a hyperlink to a handout. Is this only possible using the bio field as the sheet itself? One last question, can you hyperlink to the compendium entries at all?
Inside the sheet itself would output to chat so you have to use the chat markdown format described  here . This will also work with compendium links. You just need to right click on the link and copy the link address. Then paste that into the link section like so [LABEL](link). Hope that helps Happy Gaming
Usually, input fields within Character Sheets take only text by design, and are hence unable to contain hyperlinks. Like&nbsp; Ed S. said, you could insert Markdown syntax into a sheet field (e.g. [Roll20](<a href="http://roll20.net" rel="nofollow">http://roll20.net</a>)), use the Shaped sheet's capacity to output the sheet section containing that field to the text chat, and then access the hyperlink created by the Markdown syntax via the text chat. Ok so you can't link from within the sheet to a journal page. The best I can do is get the sheet to broadcast to chat with a url like it does with dice rolls? Just trying to understand this, I'm not the most savvy at this stuff! I've can't find anything that resembles a url for the journal entries themselves so I'm assuming these can't be the target of a Markdown command? I was wanting to link aspects of the character sheets to the compendium (and to my own journals to account for my house rules and homebrew stuff) but it's looking like this might be a real pain to pull off. Thx for the answers guys.

The URL for a Character is of the form journal.roll20.net/character/@{character_id} and the URL for a Handout is of the form journal.roll20.net/handout/[Specific handout ID] . Both IDs can be acquired via a Link Between Journal Entries (as shown below) or through the examination of the Journal tab with a browser's element inspector. I make a link for the journal inside the journal, usually in the GM notes section, then I can right click it to find and copy the address like the video above shows. &nbsp;The system works pretty great.&nbsp;
