LFM Traveller Mongoose Wednesday 7-11PM EST US, Skype

Alright so I have a ongoing group for about a year now. Currently 3 players and looking to add a lucky 4th. A lot of people are well aware of Stars Without Limit thanks to Rollplay, and well this is way more deadly and unforgiving. Even if I'm using mongoose edition with hundreds of homebrew rulings. Honestly I don't really have the time to really catch someone up and brief you in how the system works. Heck I might forget you exist if you dont keep bugging me. But if you think you can handle all that, message me with your skype info and character concept and we'll get you in. The group is pretty hot headed and looking for someone to try and balancing and calming down in character tension. Need a cool headed character that can flourish when surrounded by insanity. We have a racist sexist captain, a sterile clone that fancies himself as legendary janitor / computer guy / engineer. And a space dark elf (Lostkin) who is a bit too lusty and obsessed with becoming a cyborg. Oh and the person you're going to be replacing is from a zealot religious homeworld and is on the run for cooking their sacred creatures into burgers. And stabbed a alien because he thought her crying was her getting ready to explode. NOTE! This game is 99% economics. We literally have had whole 4 hour sessions just doing book keeping, how much loans are owed, where character investments are, etc.

Every planet has their own unique calendar. This is a new age, the age of United Terra, with the year count beginning from zero to mark this special occasion. United Terra was created with the planet Terra at its heart, spanning across the Nidus Sector, including dozens of worlds and outposts. It's not known how long it's been since humanity first came to the Noctam Galaxy from the milky way in fleets of colonization vessels. Some say hundreds of years ago, others claim thousands with some even believing it's been millions of years. All that's truly known is that something went very wrong in the voyage, causing the fleets to become separated. Countless vessels crashed across the galaxy, leading to the technologies of old to being long lost as civilizations were force to rediscover its lost arts until alas the Jump drives on these colony vessels was once more obtained. Not all worlds advanced at the same speed. Some were send back to sticks and stones as their vessels were lost. Others managed to retain some technology. It's said there's even worlds out there that still hold the technology of Long Jump drives that were used to bring the fleet to this galaxy in the first place. Long Jump drives, a technology that even the greatest scientific minds fail to comprehend from the old wreckage’s. Out in the edge of the of the barred galaxy's spirals, United Terra is far from any major powers thanks to the prominence of empty space. Distant, but not secluded. After a many year journey, a organization known as the 3 rd Imperium has made contact, sending diplomats to Terra and attempting to forward a peaceful alliance, helping Terra establish first itself as a major power in the Nidus Sector. With the Imperiums aid, great Jump Space highways are being constructed, linking the sector. Peace is upon Nidus, but not without its disruptions. In the world Aqua, a massive civil wars tears the planet apart. Meritek, once Terra's closest ally has seen its own war come to an end with a xenophobic faction withdrawing their participation in the alliance. Free traders outnumbers United Terra's fleet 10 to 1, with countless turning to space piracy to avoid their debts and break record profits. Throughout these groups of space pirates, a organization known as Vigilance emerged to the top of the totem, exceeding the bounds of the Nidus Sector. Beyond United Terra is a harsh galaxy, space piracy a regular occurrence with each world left to police its own system. There are stories about the Noctam galaxy and why the colonization fleets failed. Some say that the answer lies in the galactic core.
And our roll20 page. Not sure if you can see it but if you can, enjoy, even if you're just looking at my notes and homebrew. https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/595983/star-illiad

Only Plus and Pro subscribers can make their games visible to the public ; by default a link such as https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/1234567/s ... is only visible to players already in the game. The best way to handle this situation is to create a Looking for Group listing ; even if you do not enable it for viewing in the LFG Directory you can share the link with others and have a separate Listing Discussion forum just for those potentially interested in your game. As a bonus, anyone who posts to your game's Listing Discussion forum will have a big blue button by their username and all a GM has to is click 'Invite to Game' and an invitation will be sent their way. I hope this helps, happy gaming! :)
