[LFP] Evil Pathfinder - "Way of the Wicked" - Sunday 11am-3pm CST

In the kingdom of Talingarde, many crimes may send you to Branderscar Prison, but the sentence has but one meaning. You are wicked and irredeemable. Each of you received the same greeting when you arrived. You were held down by rough hands and branded upon the arm with a runic F . The mark signifies ‘forsaken’ and the painful scar is indelible proof that each of you has betrayed the great and eternal love of Mitra and his chosen mortal vassals. Condemned, you face at best a life of shackles and servitude in the nearby salt mines. Others might await the “gentle” ministrations of the inquisitors so that co-conspirators may be revealed and confessions extracted. Perhaps, some of you will be spared this ordeal. Perhaps instead you have come to Branderscar to face the final judgment. In three days, the executioner arrives and the axe falls or the pyre will be lit. Through fire or steel, your crimes will be answered. You have all been chained together in the same communal cell dressed in nothing but filthy, tattered rags.Manhandled and mistreated, any finery you once possessed is either ruined or long lost. No special treatment has been given any prisoner – male or female, commoner or noble – all of the forsaken are bound and imprisoned together. Your feet are secured by iron cuffs tethered by one long chain. Your arms are secured to the wall above by manacles. A guard is posted right outside the cell day and night. Little thought is given to long term accommodations. At Branderscar, justice comes swift and sure. Escape seems hopeless. You have all been well searched and every attempt to conceal anything on your person has failed. And if you could somehow slip your bonds and fly out of this prison, where would you go? Who from your former life would want anything to do with the forsaken? Despised, alone and shackled – all that you can do now is await your doom. For each of you, your old life is over. For each of you, hope is a fading memory. For each of you, justice will be fairly meted. And who can blame fair Talingarde after what each of you has done? So you want to be bad guys...? Now is that chance to let that evil out of you that you wish you could do in so many other campaigns. You must be subtle with your evil, lest you want all the "goody two shoes" to to come after you before your plans come to pass. This will not be a chaotic mess of raping and pillaging. This is about revenge and making sure that all that put you into that prison suffers so badly that no one will want to cross you again. But you have to stay away from the watchful eyes of the holy paladins and clerics that will come after you if you cause too many waves. Though later on you may welcome the fight, you need to become the plague/cancer that spreads in secret before your signs become known and they try to "cure" you. So what am I looking for in my players? I want people to have fun with this without causing grief to others in the group. You all will have to work TOGETHER to make this happen. Most evil campaigns don't work because everyone wants to be an individual and have the story revolve around them. In party fighting breaks out, characters die and now I have to find new player(s) to fill the spot. This is going to be a Mature rating game, but we do not need to take it to the XXX rating. I will just flash forward or just hint at scenes that may be too risque or disgusting. We are all adults, but there will be a line that we will not be crossing. I would love to see a party of equal ratio of guys and gals, but we all know that there are G.I.R.L.'s (Guys In Real Life) on the internet. But I welcome all couples, singles, LGBT, straight, furries, ect. Just play in character and keep the Real Life out while we play. For most of us, we are trying to escape real life playing these games. Any harassment of the player (a character harassing another character is going to be played out) by another player WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!!!  I will have other players on standby to replace people that want to harass others in an instant.  I also require people to be on time and present for games. If you don't leave a post before hand or let me or someone else know, you will be replaced. The show must go on... Finally, I want everyone to have fun! Keep to the game and leave outside games and real life out of it. Power Gamers, Rules Lawyers, Attention Grabbing Emo's, and the such... keep it to a minimum. I am sure everyone that has played these games for a while has been in at least one of those categories or known other players that have been. It sucks to watch it happen, when it goes to the extreme. I will give you a warning in private, but if it keeps going, you will be replaced. Hopefully with this game, we will all become good friends and not enemies. Let us each tell the story of our characters, watch them flesh out in their adventures and come away from this game telling everyone how great it was. What you should be expecting in me, the GM?   I will be early to games to answer questions and make sure people arrive on time. I already have most of the modules already put into Roll20 so most of my work is already done. I get the fun job of keeping everyone happy, the game flowing and keeping out of game drama to a minimum. I am not the type of GM that likes to kill off characters, but if you are stupid enough to kill the squire of the Grand Marshal right in front of him/her, you might as well start working on a new character. Usually there are several ways to get out of encounters without ever drawing a weapon, firing a shot, or casting a spell. Most of the time when someone loses a character, it is to their egos or brain farts. Remember, you can always retreat (and hardly any player ever does it). Downtime, between adventures, and between games, I will be using PM's or the forums to keep the story going. Since we are going to be having a limited amount of time to play, many things can be handled this way. Things like magical item making, shopping for rare goods, gathering information around town and such don't need to be done during games unless a fight happens because of it or more than 1/2 the party is going to be doing it. For those that want to embark on this journey... Leave a description of your character, what other characters would know about you and your infamous crimes. If you don't want others to know you crimes, send me a PM. Remember, these characters are going to be 1st level, so they don't need a huge backstory. I am allowing any all the normal Pathfinder races and classes. No 3rd party classes or player made races. If you have any questions or want to lobby for a certain class/race, send me a PM. Also tell me a little bit of your Role Playing experience. If you want, you can even tell me a little bit about you. The more I know about the Player or Character, the easier my job becomes (hopefully) and I can better accommodate your characters development to keep you happy!
Humm  go to evil church on sundays sounds fun. i played all the editions but started on 3rd and have  only had a few opportunities for path finder but have the books. and  i guess the best role play exp i can tell u is my first evil character was a cleric and it was fun to  just spread his gods  ideas around i  never did anythign to crazy but my actions lead to destruction of  whole towns with out lifting a single finger my self but all thru words and lies. Evil that is  subtle or louad  it matters not as long as u dont make ur self a target. I like explorign  motives and personallities of characters and trying to  play out  what they would do  so much more fun than  just fire balling everything.
Don't really think many bible thumpers troll the forums, let alone look at post that have an Evil game... *laugh*. But you never know... Post or send me a PM of your character concept.
lol didn t think about bible thumper whoops  lol
Character: Jason Hawk. Fetchling. About 5'6", 100lbs. Slim build, has short disheveled black hair, blue-green eyes, and a pale-blackish skin complexion. Back story: "Traded ten years of my life to get to the material plane and I was almost done paying off my debt. All I had to do now is to deliver an object to the drop off point and then I was free to leave the city. However, I was set-up. Not long after I placed the object down, guards surrounded me. I tried to escape, but was beaten down to unconsciousness and awakened in a interrogation room chained up like some psychopath. An inquisitor entered the room and asked how I obtained the object. I said nothing as he kept asking his questions. The inquisitor then informed me that I was carrying a stolen ancient relic of  Mitra. I immediately spilled my gutts, and the inquisitor laughed at whom I said gave me the job. He said the man I named doesn't exist. I was then subjugated to hours of 'intense interrogation'  as they kept asking who stole the object. After about the fourth hour they decided to pin the crime on me, and then branded me a forsaken. Chained up in  Branderscar I await my execution. If ever make it out of here I'm making sure that the man who set-me up gets his well deserved death. Mercy is off the table." About me: about 10+ years of DnD, Pathfinder, and Pandemonio. I prefer tense role-playing situations and a good puzzle that makes me look like a fool.
Destra Farlight, 23 year old Human, 6' 190lbs. Long black hair, brown eyes and the tanned skin of a peasant. A very fresh scar crosses her face. The Farlights were lighthouse keepers, blessed stewards of the undying light of glorious Mitra.  Destra and her sister Cassandra took up the duties of their family after their father's disappearance. Caring for her young sister and studying the holy tenets of Mitra consumed Destra's teenage years, but no sacrifice was too great for God and family.  One day the Inquisition rode into her village and claimed the locals were "consorting with dark powers". Destra had seen the arcane rituals her sister performed under cover of darkness in years passed to keep ruinous spirits at bay and protect her family from misfortune. She knew Cassandra would be accused of witchcraft, but couldn't bear to see her beloved sister burn. Destra vowed to protect Cassandra from the Inquisition and fled her village. Burning her holy symbol of Mitra, she swore vengeance on those who condemned her and a seductive voice called to her from the flames promising power in exchange for absolute loyalty.  From that moment on,  Eiseth, First of the Fallen would be her guide.  Years later, the inquisition had at last caught up with them. Destra stayed behind to give her sister time to escape, she fought valiantly, but was defeated. She now stands guilty of Heresy, among a dozen other crimes, and awaits execution by fire. I've been dying to play Way of the Wicked for ages now and after several false starts I'm hoping this will be the long-term evil campaign I've been waiting for. I've got plenty of experience with the system, I'm easy to get along with and don't hog the spotlight or make absurd demands of my GM. I have a healthy hatred of power-gaming and prefer serious, thoughtful RP.

Rosemary Brimstone Halfling Erinyes blooded, Female, age 20 Country of origin Cheliax Crimes: preaching of evil Powers, taking part of an infernal summoning ritual Judgement: Burning --- Born into servitude like usual to halflings in Cheliax, Rosemary was a temple servant whom was infatuated by the biased view of the church of Asmodeus. Finding the lord of Hell to be the true champion of the greater good, with ambition and creed she worked to gain the position to become an acolyte in the faith and gaining an infernal patron from her ancestor under the service of Lady Glasya, daughter of Asmodeus. Working as a servant and pupil to a priest as they traveled to bring the truth of Hell outside of the great country of Cheliax. - Their summoning ceremony getting crashed by overzelous dogs of the 'good' gods and her master slain, she was shipped off in chains to be burned. With a sad smile the red haired hin was preparing for a painful death, worrying if she will ever see her adored lord due to her low amount of achievements. --- Hi, I've been roleplaying for about 8 years now mostly using the Neverwinter Nights pc games as a medium. On pathfinder I've been playing a handful of PFS modules in roleplay expos in my country but I found it extremely power build slashing than rewarding roleplay. The character concept here is a sorcereress with the false priest archetype, mixing with damnation feats. My time zone is GMT +2 so the time is actually pretty good for me as prime time evening for me.

Drun Mithrin is an elf who stands at 6,8 and weighs 116lbs with black hair, brown skin and dark green eyes. He was born in Farhold and as a child he fantisised about exploring the grand and good kingdom of Talangaurd and so when he came of age he decided to leave Farhold and seek his fortune further south. He first traveled to Davryn the port city of Talangaurd intent on taking a ship to Mathryn.  What he found when he arrived at Davryn was sadly far from the stories that he had grown up with, true the city was beautiful and far larger than he had ever imagined however he decided to make the best of it and to help raise the money to buy passage on a ship he  tried to find work  but where ever he went he was turned away because he was an elf and not a follower of Mithra. in the end he was forced too steal what he could to survive. at first it bothered him but as time went on he began to enjoy the thrill of theft and the stories of how the human guards could not catch "the Ghost" as they called him. One day he came across a young eleven girl who was lieing unconscious  in the gutter beaten and almost starved to death, he decided to help to help hger so he took her back to his home on the outskirts of Davryn and nursed her back to health. Sadly despite every thing he could do she never regained  consciousness and died soon after. From that day on he decided to change this suposed good and just kingdom that let humans laugh, drink and dance wile everyone elce had to beg and steal just to survive. After that he started for want of a better word his guild, it comprised of non-humans, be they Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes or anything else they had a home with him. as time went on he gained a substantial following who called them selves the Ghosts in his honer. one night durn was giveing a speech as he was want to do " why should we be denied as we are just because we were borne a different race after all if you prick us, do we not bleed? if you tickle us, do we not laugh? if you poison us, do we not die? and if you wrong us, shall we not have revenge".   It was at this point the guard broke in and even though Durn put up a good fight eventually he was over powered. the last thing he remembers is telling the ghosts to flee when he was hit over the back of the head and it all went black. when he comes round he realises that he is on a ship just like he wanted when he first arived, however his destination was not fair Mathryn but the dreaded prison ... Brandasguar Hello my name is Eron, I am 21 and I  live in the uk. i have played DnD since I was around ten mostley 3.5 eddtion but I have recently started using roll20 and playing pathfinder. now there are a few things that you should know 1 I have played way of the wicked previously we got as far as the end of book 2. I got swamped with requests to join this game and I had to take the first 6 that following my instructions and figured that would work well together. If things don't work out with any of my players, I will be going back through the list of people that posted/PM to find my replacements before starting up a new forum post. I wish I could take everyone, but after 6 players, it turns into a madhouse.
