[LFP]x2 [Pathfinder] [Forgotten Realms] Thursdays 6 EDT

Hi, I'm looking for 2 players for our thursday night game. We run every week with very few exceptions (holidays mostly) and have a good group of friends. Recently one person graduated, another stepped away, and a third was invited to leave for poor attendance. That leaves our merry little band looking to replace 2 of those 3 positions. Our game started in September of 2014, and has been running almost weekly since. Here is a link to our wiki and it's adventure logs. https://raven-s-bluff-the-living-city.obsidianport... The group is currently 9th level. Maybe most are halfway to 10th level. One is indeed 10th level. You gain experience on the nights you are there, and miss out if you are not. I do not reward people for nights they don't show up. Our current group makeup is Paladin, Wizard, Cleric, Magus. The current group makeup is neutral good. We have some chaotic leanings, we have some Lawful leanings. Some things of note: You will not progress in experience as fast as you expect. We made 9 levels after 1.5 years of weekly gaming. It's just how it is, certain things need to happen, before other things can open up in the game, and we move at the pace we need to. Where do you come in? Well if you want a stable game that is only currently about halfway complete, you can come play with us. Level? 9th level on the slow progression chart. Magic items? Wealth by level. Alignment? It must fit the group to some extent. We've had self serving. We won't take an evil person, and when I saw we, I mean the group as a whole, it was already discussed about this before I even came here. Yes I make the final decision, but some people have invested much in the game that they get a say as well. Classes we are looking for presently. If it is not on this list, don't ask, we have already had them and are looking for something new, or just don't want them for other reasons. Classes: Druid, Monk, Alchemist, Cavalier, Gunslinger, inquisitor, Oracle, Samurai. Books allowed: Core. If it is a class listed above, the book that the class you selected it from is also allowed, for that class only. We are also a city adventure, while the game is about the players, it is also about what can happen to one fantastic city set in the Forgotten Realms. I always welcome questions. If you wish to join then I need the following from you. 1. Go to our wiki and become a fan, if you are not a fan why would you want to play anyway? 2. A PRIVATE MESSAGE, that answers the following 3 questions. A. Who is the current archmage of the city? B. What does the crime of illegal flight carry? C. The trumpeter is our newspaper. Whom did Gevus strike down, and why was it important? C might be a little hard and you might have a little latitude. Do those 2 things, get the answers correct, and you will be invited to the game. At that point there will be a couple questions that you need to answer for the 4 existing players and myself to approve you. The first part about the PM, just shows that you have the gumption to do more than "yeah I am interested." that most people do. The second part will tell us why your character is good for the game, your experience, etc. If we don't get any people, I'll repost later. We would rather adventure with what we consider a small group, than dilute the level of the game we have now. Some of the players I know in real life, some are friends I have made here, so all are welcome. One more thing. I'm on a cruise ship for 2 weeks, so when I've the time I'll check my PM's and such here, but no one will be adventuring with us until March 31, as my one player occasionally fills in as DM, and he is doing so now. But that should give people plenty of time to have a character ready and such. Again questions are welcome here. Wanting to join should be in a PM. It is not first come first served, it is he or she who best meshes with the current group, and seems like a good fit.
Heh, already got one question in a PM. No, no one will be joining to play with us until the 31st. However we will actively be working on getting 2 people into the game with full characters between now and then. I've not posted this just to let it sit for 2 weeks. :)
Take note above, we play in Forgotten Realms. I guess I didn't touch on this enough in the body of the text. We do not use Pathfinder gods etc.
We have found 2 people that seem well suited for our group. No one else is needed for now, thank you.
I am looking to join a pathfinder game I unfortunately have a odd schedule but it is opening up a little allowing more evenings off but I will not always be available the same day week after week but I have played dnd and pathfinder for years I usually prefer playing Paladins and fighters but would like to try a Rogue. If you think I might be able to join your group let me know. I dont care about slow leveling I like to play for the emersion into the world the hack n slash comes second.
Inquisitor joined. We had an alchemist, great write up, at the last minute, decided to be self serving, and not what was proposed. So If you can make the times, and want to play one of the classes we are interested in, send me a message.
Figured I'd chip in with a note. Andrew's a fine GM, with a strong old school vibe. If you still "think" AD&D when you play d20 games, this may be your mileage. Sure, there's some limits on the character building, but there's lots of room for personal backstories, especially if they are rooted in Forgotten Realms lore. We've got a good group, I think - people who aren't flaky yet know that real life happens. Mature folks, with families and jobs and health to think of, yet who want to play the game they have loved for (many) years. Let us know if you're interested.

+1 Like Patrick. I'd hope were not flaky with a game running for 19 months now. And no one else for the moment please, I got a proposed applicant. If it falls though I will update here.

So basically your pigeon holing people into what classes you want them to play....That doesn't sound cool. Not to mention the fact that only core is allowed. I would be bored too.
Eh, it works for us. Can't please everyone, and if you'd not be pleased, we're happy that we avoided engaging with eachother.
I don't know how the following is Core only: Classes: Druid, Monk, Alchemist, Cavalier, Gunslinger, inquisitor, Oracle, Samurai. And only core is allowed for the level we are at, as we grow, more books grow into the game. If you think with the work that is put into this game, that it's not cool, then Yes I agree with Patrick, we'll be happy to be on separate paths.
