Do you like space? Ever wondered what it would be like to explore the stars, only to find out that you might not like what you found? Then this game might be for you! I'm looking for 3 more willing participants to join me for a game of Shadows over Sol. We'll be playing the pre made scenario from the quick start guide with pre made characters. Depending how the party plays out I might be willing to play more campaigns with you guys. It will also be a learning experience for me since it will be the first time playing a game with this system. I am looking forward to learn about the new system and I hope there are others out there who feel the same. What is Shadows over Sol? - Good question! I currently only own the free quick start manual which gives a limited description of the grim dark future. Unlike fantasy sci fi where you shoot aliens while wearing oversized shoulderplates the setting will be more humanlike (and therefore more terrifying I hope). There are elements of the supernatural, but if you encounter them you are very likely to be mind controlled, sprayed with acid and eaten. And not necessarily in that order. In my opinion the universe is similar to the Hegemony from Hyperion by Dan Simmons. So expect more hard sci fi where you'll need to think your way out instead of shooting your way out. What can I expect from the scenario? - You will get premade characters in a premade scenario. The scenario itself is a classic. You all wake up in a space ship with temporary memory loss due to stasis sickness. During the scenario you will recover pieces of your memory and discover that other characters might not have the best intentions in mind for you. However, you will soon realise you're not alone on the spaceship. Will you trust that other player characters will not turn on you, or do you have faith in your own capabilities to survive on your own? -Players As I said, experience is no issue for me since I will also be new to the game. If you are however someone that is easily offended or has a tendency to clench his butt every time something does not go your way, I would suggest you refrain from applying. If you like a GM with a laid back attitude and a heavy Flemish accent however, you might just be in luck. I will also contact the people that apply just so I can know you a little better. I will give a short description so you know what to expect: - Taylor Chu: / Geneline: Superhuman / Subculture: Former / Description: Taylor Chu is tall and well-muscled with a stern face and a stasis gown indicating them as the module’s attending steward. - Jessie Bowdain: / Geneline: Budget Upgrade / Subculture: Entro / Description: Jessie Bowdain is middle-aged and grizzled, with a nose that looks like it’s been broken before and healed. They have a bearing that seems out of place in a stasis gown. - Blake Colby: / Geneline: Celebrity Deluxe / Subculture: Former / Description: Blake Colby is tall with handsome facial features, and an elegant posture. Blake’s stasis gown is obviously a personal garment, and is of a higher quality than the others. - Casey Spenner: / Geneline: Spacer's Stander / Subculture: Techno / Casey Spenner is small and wiry, with a crumpled stasis gown, big eyes, spindly arms and greasy-looking hair.
