I am looking for a party member for a Dungeons and Dragons, 5E campaign that I am about to begin running. The party at the moment consists of three individuals and I am looking to add a fourth. If you would be interested feel free to comment in this thread or private message me. If you were selected for this campaign you would be joining at the beginning of a new adventure, a new story. The first session is schedule for Monday April 4th. The exact time is not set but will probably be around 7pm Est and will probably run 4-5 hours. Our group doesn't have a concrete end time on our sessions. We will also be running bi-weekly on Monday nights. Our Group Our group has history that is over a year long. About a year ago we ran an AD&D 2E campaign that ran close to 9 months on a weekly basis. We are an easy going group of 20something year olds that heavily roll plays, we take character build serious, very serious, we are far from power gamers, we are story tellers, and above all else, we just want to have a good time. We at times do get off topic but as easily as we get off topic, we remember why we have gathered, and get back to the game. As far as rule savvy goes, myself as a DM, I do not know every rule by the back of my hand and nor do I care. However the other guys are rule savvy. There have been quite a few discussions about rules but we understand story > rules and no one gets upset over rules. remember though, our last campaign was AD&D 2E which the need for rule savviness is an entire different beast than 5E. The Campaign World Our campaign is ran in a homebrewed World that I have crafted for over 8 years. The world is indepth and alive. If you are axcepted there are 7 handouts over different aspects of lore you will need to read. If when I says "7 handouts you need to read" and your response to that is "I don't care" then this is not the game for you. Every member of this campaign is a story teller. If you have no regard for the story that has already been told, then we will gladly find someone else. The lore matters. We want people who will appreciate the lore and help with the crafting of new lore. Deadly This campaign is deadly. If you are stupid, you will die. In one of my most painful moments as a DM durring the 2E run, my favorite character at the time ran into a boss chamber foolishly like an idiot. He was one shotted. It broke my heart to do it. -- supplements and non-standard rules -- Elemental Evil Players Companion The Elemental Evil Players Companion is an approved supplement for this campaign barring a few restrictions. Those restrictions being, the only two additional races allowed are Goliath & the Svirfneblin. Additional Playable Race Bullywugs are a playable race. Bullywugs are a frog faced humanoid and have a key settlement in the starting area of this campaign. For more info on the Bullywugs as a playable class there is a handout explaining everything in the campaign if you are approved as a player. Death Domain & Oath Breaker Paladin Through the DMG there is an additional Cleric Domain and Paladin build. Pending a conversation and approval, this domain and build are viable options for play. Banned Classes Monks are a non-playable class in The WarForge campaign. Inspiration The Youtube/Twitch Table Top Role Playing series "RollPlay: West Marches" presents a modification to the inspiration rule that we will be taking and slightly adapting in the WarForge Campaign. Again, More info is available through a handout for approved players. --Applying-- If you are interested in joining I have a handful of questions to gauge possible players. Some questions may feel random but there is a reason for each. Feel free to answer either through a post here on this thread or a private message. 1) what is your history with table top Role Play Gaming. 2) tell me about the longest campaign you've been in. 3) tell me about your favorite character you have ever encountered in a Table top role play game. 4) what makes for a great D&D game. 5) would you ever have your own character that you have invested months in kill himself either out of agony or in an attempt to save the life of the rest of your party or an NPC. Feel free to expound. 6) who would win in a fight , Goku or Superman? 7) if I gave you a spot in the campaign who (not what) would you play?
