Looking to play D&D 3.5 on friday night UTC -5 timezone

Hello, my name is Daniel and i have been playing D&D for about a year and im looking for a weekly D&D 3.5 game. As i have seen that the games fill too quickly i went here to ask for one. Thanks for reading!
I'm in the same situation. I've never played D&D, but I've read some of the player's handbook and used to play a Star Wars tabletop for what it's worth.

I don't have much experience DMing, but if that doesn't bother you guys, I wouldn't mind DMing for ya. I have been looking for the opportunity to practice a bit.

Hopefully we can get a decent group going, I've been dying to play some D&D. What's the optimal group size? I would figure like, four players and a DM, but again, I don't have much experience, and when I played the Star Wars RPG, it was just me, my brother (DM), and a friend, and we made it work.
I usually like running somewhere between 4-5 players. Anything more makes turns take to long and anything less tends to remove to much diversity and weakens roleplay interactions. If I did DM, it would be a 32 point buy, level two, with books open on a case by case basis (I might limit people to picking just three books they would like to use + SRD). Restrictions on books largely depend on the experience level of the group.
id join also if it was after 6 pm (AZ time) i can play any class needed
Depending what days you play i'd love to join.
Ideally I would prefer to go from 6:00-10:00+, but 8:00-12:00 central seems doable. I would also like to know everyone's experience level.

Well, hold off on character creation since I will need to figure out what books to allow and such. We wouldn't play till next Friday anyway. I will add you though.

Will you add me in skype, to let me know what will you allow and such? And to ask you about some things i want to start with when you figure out what books to allow.

I've read a bit of the player's handbook, but that was a year or two ago, and I listen to some podcasts where they play D&D. What's a "32 point buy?" Sorry, I'm gonna have some stupid basic questions as we get this going to make sure I'm doing everything right. If you'd rather not deal with a new player, I could probably find another group.

Those of you interested should post there. Priority will be given to those of you who have responded in the thread. @Connor, don't sweat it. I am happy to add newer players to the group and it actually makes it easier to DM. Feel free to ask as many questions as you want. I will be more than happy to answer them.

Is it just having 32 points to attribute to your character's skills and whatnot? I'll try to have a character sheet made up on Myth Weavers when I can.

Also, no, it is something else, I will help you get your character going.
