Game search

Is there some reason the RISK game I am is doesn't show up when I search for group? I know it's not because I am a member, I see other games I am in, but we haven't been able to find new players in awhile. We need to be able to find new players, or the game will die, which seems counter productive. Plus, how many games are out there that I would like to join that aren't showing up when I search?

I've been trying to Sherlock it out myself, and I notice all the games that are on the list have a next play date, could that be what's required?

Hi Alan, it can take a couple of hours for a listing to show up in the search, have you recently listed it or has it been a while? Also, if you selected to have it be 18+ you'll need to be sure to check that you are searching for 18+ content in the LFG area. This  section of the wiki should tell you all you need to know about creating and maintaining a listing.

The game has been around for three or four weeks now, and isn't set for 18+. I'll give the wiki piece a look see, thanks!

Alan, what is the title of the game? Is it just Risk or something else? Are you the original creator? If so go to the looking for players page and double check your setting such as number of players, the date of the next game (it has to be current or up to about 3 months out), and the other settings. If you are not the original creator, have them go check the settings. I had to go through all that recently with my game.

Yes, the game is called RISK, but I am not the creator. Your questions suggest an answer, does a game have to have a next-game date in place to show up? Wait, I think that solved the mystery, a date has been added, and the ad now shows up. Thanks for your help, and Mods, you can go ahead and shut this thread down whenever you want.
