Information is brief and closely guarded for the most part, and only the Corporations involved, and the Higher Ranking Officers are informed of the dire need of Military Presence. On the border between CSC Sector Space and Earth Sector Space is a Planet called Starview. Starview has lead to everyone on both sides setting their sights on this section of the Galaxy. It's valuable abundant resources has forced two companies from each Sector to establish small colonies for research and mining development. However there is an issue with the ownership of the planet. Both sides claim ownership of the Planet, but seeing as both sides have resorted to terrorist tactics, sabotage, and misinformation, the truth has become buried, and now the Government of both sides are calling in the Marines to settle the argument once and for all. The Colonial Marines are being dispatched to Starview as a diplomatic/peacekeeping envoy. However since each side has shown it has violent tendencies, the Marines have been authorized to use Non-Lethal and Lethal means to settle the dispute. However the Governments are stressing for things to be settled peacefully. #Your Participation You will be playing as a basic Grunt as part of a Fire Team, which consists of two-by-two groups within the platoon, acting as either a Rifleman or a Gunner. These positions were created for both defensive and offensive reasons. While the Rifleman scans the area (usually with a Motion Tracker), the Gunner acts as fire support, and the next pair behind them cover the rear, or scan for anything the first team might have missed. Seeing as how dangerous the frontlines are, Marines usually gain valuable combat experience quickly (which leads to leveling up faster), and they also receive hazard pay (greater wealth income). This allows the players who set their eyes on any specific Advanced Class, or Prestige Class to build towards it in a short amount of time, and usually acquires whatever Class they wish to achieve in only a few levels. However some classes are already occupied by NPCs (Non-Player-Character), which seeing as how dangerous the careers of Colonial Marines are, their lifespan is usually short-lived, and will need to be replaced by backup crew members (Players who meet the requirements for that specific task), or they will be replenished on the return to Gateway Station. Keep in mind, this is an Adventure Game. The Journey is more important, than the Destination. Getting there, fighting against greater odds, learning new skills, becoming stronger, better, faster, smarter is better than having everything handed to you. This is a Tabletop Role-Playing Game, not a Video Game. For those of you that are interested in God-Modding, finding loopholes, or trying to break the game with ridiculous ideas or mechanics, then please find another game to play. Because this is only for players that love the Aliens Versus Predator Franchise, and also enjoy difficult, challenging adventures, where they can prove they are skilled players, and know how to handle some extreme situations.
