Toggling Across Different Maps

I have about 50-60 individual grid maps loaded into my game.  To access them I click on the blue tab at the top of the screen which opens up the tool bar with the horizontal strip of tiny map images.  Then I can slide through them to select which one I want to look at.  But if I want to drag the red Players View/Map icon onto one of the maps I am only able to drag the icon onto maps that are currently 'on screen.'  In other words if I wanted to drag the red Players View icon from map #25 to map #5 I need to drop it when I get to the edge of the screen, slide the bar over to access off-screen maps and then pick up the Players View icon again, drag it to the edge of the screen and repeat until I get to the map I want the players to see.  This has the major disadvantage of bringing any number of maps up for view by the players that I do not (and they don't) want them to see, even if it is for a brief time. "OK, everyone close your eyes." My question is... Is there a way to grab that red Players View icon and move it to any map on the DM map strip without having to drop it on other maps in order to slide through the map strip and bring the desired map into view?  I feel like I'm missing something obvious but have been unable to figure it out.  I'm on a mac if that matters. Let me know anyone, and thanks in advance!
Workaround solution:  Archive the maps you're not interested in.  That way you only have a few maps visible, making it much easier to move the Players between maps.
