Macros can't be removed from the quickbar

I can't remove macros from the bottom quickbar. I dragged some attribute rolls there, but now I can't remove them. I can't drag them off the bar and drop them like everyone's saying to do. When I pull them off the bar, they just disappear. When I release the mouse, they just snap back onto the bar. There's no way to delete them now.
Hover over the button and you will see a faded tab pop out to the right of the button. Click and hold that section when you drag the button off the bar.
It doesn't work. The button just disappears when I pull it off and when I let go the button snaps back.
Are you dragging the button vertically, towards the top of your screen, or horizonally? I've only witnessed that behaviour when attempting the latter, and that is because horizontal dragging is meant to be used when reordering buttons.
