Contacting My Players Before a Game?

Is it possible to send a message to the players who have joined my game? I have several who have joined who I can not get a hold of to give changes in game times etc.

You can use the inbox function but they will not see that unless they log into the community forum. Note: they must have previously logged into the Community Forum for you to be able to send a message to them. You can use the campaign page to leave messages in campaign discussions. - Gauss
Unfortunately there aren't many options. There's the campaign discussion board of course, but I think they don't see that unless they actually login. The best thing would be the next time you see them, to get an email address or skype name or something like that from each of them.
This is actually what the development team is currently working on-- feel free to give some ideas on how you'd like this to work in the future.
I suppose the easiest way would be to have the inbox viewable from the my campaigns page as well as the forums. this means that you should always see a new message (hopefully).
What Ade says is indeed an important step I believe and necessary. Otherwise you end up with two different private message systems, and that is not only redundant but also confusing. Second I would say when someone applies you should have a button to send this person a private message directly, without having to go the tedious way of doing it manually. You should then, at a later point be able to return and accept or deny the application. (Having the option to "Not now" the application when you first view it) The same way a player should have the option to send the GM a private message easily to ask about the campaign - however I guess that could work by sending a join request with the question, and the GM answering. But again, if you're already working on the PM stuff, you should add this.
My group uses Google events and a Google community to communicate. It has email alerts and all the stuff you need to keep in touch.
Their are two things I would like to be able to do: 1. Send a reminder message to all my players about up coming games; and 2. have a mandatory contact for them through the forums so I could PM them about things like character creation issues. Right now I have two people who joined the game and I have heard no more from so am ready to boot them and open their spots for people who will at least get me a character idea!
