5th Edition D&D has the SRD now with almost all spell information included.  Is there any way to then import from that directly to a character sheet?
Absolutely! Check out this video by Roll20 showing the drag-and-drop capabilities of the new 5th Edition SRD Compendium with the new 5th Edition OGL by Roll20 Character Sheet : Roll20 5th Edition SRD Update The Shapedv2 Character Sheet also possesses the capability to drag-and-drop from the Compendium.

Silvyre or Diana P... Is there similar for the [3.5E] D&D spells or is it going to be manual for a while longer?

It will continue being manual until a) we get a 3.5 Compendium and b) I figure out how they *do that*.  My plan is, when we get the 3.5 Compendium, try and figure out how to allow as much drag and drop that I can (and probably re-do a bunch of the spell area as well) but I'm going to wait until there is data available to import first.  It may take some time for me to get that programmed in once the Compendium is up also since I'm just dipping my toes into modifying js at the moment and not a powerhouse programmer.....
How about Patyhfinder? Cause they have a compendium don't they?
