[Tech.Issue] "Not Authorized" when sending game link to players -- do I have to list it on Looking for Players first?

Hi, I've read the Create Looking for Group Listings wiki, and I understand that if I want someone to join a game, I send them the "join" link (e.g., https://app.roll20.net/join/1234567/aBcDeF). However, what I'm trying to do is have a number of players view a game, and post their interest first, and from them I'll choose the 4 or 5 players. I've seen it done on the Looking for Group forum, where you click on a link, go to the 'game page', and post in the game forum. Do I have to list my game as a Looking for Players first to do this? I don't really need it list there, but if that's the way to get people to my game link (without giving them the "join" link... yet), then I'll do it. Thanks! Brett.
By default, only those who belong to a game will be able to view the game details page (e.g. via the link https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/123456/ ) of that game. However, Plus or Pro subscribers have the ability to allow public access to games they have created. Allows anyone to view your game details page, public journal entries (marked for "All Players"), and read game forums. Only those you have invited as players will be able to join the game itself, read the chat archive, or post in the forums.

You do not need to have an active listing but you might need to create a listing. Click on the create looking for players utton and follow all the instructions but leave something unfinished. I usually leave the next game day and time unassigned so the listing is disabled. This will create your LFG page that you can pm or email or even post to a thread.

Thanks Silvyre! I'm missing the Plus or Pro account. Thanks Pat! I will attempt a Looking for Players listing to see if that changes things, unless you know that won't change anything. (It was unclear from the above.) Thanks again!

It won't give them access to your detail page nor your journals but it will create a public forum that people can post to. You can put info in the game description so they can read it and post to the public game forum. The actual game forum is only for your players unless you are a plus/pro subscriber. Take my game for an example, The Rifters . This game is set to be viewable to public.
Perfect -- thanks!
