Legacy of Tyshmaea - Pathfinder Thursday Nights 6pm - 11pm CST (-6 GMT) -FULL

The only thing worse than a halfling is a redneck halfling. And here we are, headed right into the heart of redneck halfling country. Work is work though, and if the rumors are true, there is much work for an adventurer to be had in Liithmir right now. A swampy boat-town called Raftonburg is but just one of several halfling communities spreading the word that they are looking for abled-body adventurers. Maybe not all of our group are looking for coin, maybe its simply the need to get away (or escape) from civilization. Maybe it's simply to check on the elves that were entrusted with defending the Liithmirans (where are they anyways?). Or maybe we're looking for something else... Hello! This is my first Roll20 campaign and my first Pathfinder campaign. I am a seasoned 3.5e and 4th edition player/GM, and was an active RPer in the NWN/NWN2 multiplayer community; though I've been inactive for a couple of years. I was wanting to test the waters of online roleplaying. Other new Pathfinder players/new Roll20 members are welcome, though veterans are welcome too. It will be a homebrew high fantasy setting beginning at level 1. Campaign length will be determined once we see how it goes. Anyone interested? I have a 2-page campaign guide attached if you wish to roll up a character.
7pm to 12 am? you mean like 19:00-00:00 right? I have interest but it will be my first time playing pathfinder in a long time as I usually stick to other systems. Thinking of making a wizard originating from the crescent sea who spend most of his time in the employment of merchants, but because of a bad habit of gambling combined with his often shitty luck has gone of adventuring to escape debt collectors. Not sure yet but it's what sprung to mind.
I'd definitely be interested in joining in on this. I don't have anything at the moment [other than the impulsive thought that a witch or oracle might be interesting], but I can start right away on a character.
Great to see some interest. Times can be flexible to accommodate everyone, though Thursday nights work best for my work schedule. Any input is welcome.
Hi there! I'm new to Pathfinder, but have done my homework. I'm really interested in joining up as well. Sounds like the group may need a meat shield/melee-oriented character. I was thinking a Druid maybe? Archetypes aren't mentioned in the PDF. Would they be allowed?
This could totally work for me, I'm open that night both this and next semester at the moment. I'm new to Roll20 but have a good understanding of Pathfinder. Would you be interested in a bard or wizard character for this campaign? I can play just about anything which is needed, though I'd request to use a few spells from "Song and Silence" if playing a bard.
Well met, I have several PCs ready for consideration. They include a Half-Elf Monk, a Gnome Cavalier, and a Half-Orc Fighter. Just let me know what you need and I will be there.
@Ross Yes! Archetypes are fine --- sorry I forgot to mention them. @Annika Sure, let me know what you have in mind for your bard if you decide to go that route. @Razir Sounds good. No one has committed to any class yet so everything is fair game at this point. I've had a request from someone to start earlier and finish a little earlier. 6-11 CST (-6 GMT) still okay with everyone? I am open to suggestions. I'm thinking about starting this Thursday if y'all are interested. Also, I will provide some more campaign material if you are so inclined to want additional.
The earlier start and later end is fine with me. I'm good for this Thursday too!
That start is fine for me, I am also on CST. I think I will go with a basic fighter. Everyone... meet Gronk the halfwit....*Cough* Half-Orc. Strong as an ox and twice as smart. I look forward to meeting the rest of our cast of characters.
I'll make my wizard tomorrow.
Hello there, I'd just like to ask quickly, is this game going to be played more on the text side, or will it be a voice session?
The earlier start is fine for me as well. I'll make up my character sheet and send it your way, along with a few of the S&S spells I'd like to use. Is this campaign going to be mostly RP, mostly combat, or an even combination of both?
I tested the in-game video and voice last night and ran into problems. If we want to do voice, could we use Skype instead?
I am also interested!
@Annika My goal is to be an even combination of RP and combat--I am willing to adapt to the preferences of the group though. @Fallon Phoenix I anticipate I will be using text for descriptive purposes and possibly what NPCs are saying and rely on voice for more metagame DM duties--naturally we will see if one method works out better for the group. @Ross P. Yeah, we will adjust as necessary if we have technical problems. FYI, I am expecting to devote a good portion of the first session to character creation/game setup since most people are still working on their characters. On that note, I intend to "overbook" this campaign because I have a feeling not everyone will show up. I will be on tomorrow earlier before the session starts to try and get things set up, so if someone wants to drop in early they can--maybe we can try and sort out some technical issues. Also, I don't anticipate to have a session next week due to Thanksgiving holiday here in the US.
Frogman, How do we send stuff to you?
You can attach it as a file in this discussion, send it via private message, or you can email it to me. See the PM I sent you for my email.
Here's my character! Introducing Anaru the druid and his dinosaur companion Mako. (There's more about their background on page 2.)
