Dark Heresy Beginner looking for a group. [English] [GMT]

Im new to dark heresy [Not 40k] and im looking for a gamemaster and a group, I have made a character that im pretty sure is legal [going from rulebook] Im in the uk using Gmt timezone, I only speak english.

Hey Andrew I saw your post on the "FG Dark Heresy, Semi-new player, Feral World Psyker ;)" forum and was wondering if you were okay with playing my friend and I, we are new to playing tabletop rpgs but have some basic knowledge of how the game works and some lore of the 40k universe. We are currently trying to create characters but we could use some help though (trying to figure out stats).

Im also new :) I just downloaded a character sheet&nbsp; <a href="http://community.fantasyflightgames.com/index.php?/topic/9297-new-editable-character-sheet/" rel="nofollow">http://community.fantasyflightgames.com/index.php?/topic/9297-new-editable-character-sheet/</a> &nbsp;and read through the rulebook at about page 13 I think theres a guide of setting up your first character and it explains home systems and classes ect.

Right now I'm reading the rule book and when I finish making my character I'll post it here.

I also used that to help me with stat rolls instead of doing them individually and helping select equipment, I will also post my character here.

We also still need a Game master and a fourth member.

Hi. I'm looking to get into PnP roleplay in general but Dark Heresy is the game that appeals to me most (because I love 40k lore). Would you guys be willing to take me on as a member? I've never played a PnP RPG before (played a bit of 40k though) so I can understand if you don't want to be putting up with a novice. Just know that I'm a fast learner and love the source material. Will have a character ready soon, just making myself more familiar with the rules first :)

Im pretty sure we are all novices, We will need a very experienced Gm to help us as we go along I guess.

Cool. I'll keep an eye on that thread. Would it be a good idea to just list which career path (not entire character) we are going for before we spend loads of time on characters? Just so we don't end up with 3 of the same type or something? I was thinking of going with Adept, but if someone was already making one I'll switch.

I'm thinking of going Imperial Pysker or Tech Priest although I am leaning more towards Tech Priest

Im probably going for an imperial guard from Krieg [death world in fluff but so is Catachan and I have seen people using Catachan as a feral world]

Also my friend and I live in Ontario so I believe that is gmt - 4

should be okay, if we are gaming on a saturday I can do mostly any time, weekdays may be tricky.

Weekends should be fine mostly any time for me, or friday evening (after about 8pm GMT). Weekdays might get a little messy for me though.

Friday or Saturday 8pm-11pm or 12pm sounds good for me.

My parents were both Imperial Psykers who thought their first and only son would too share their talents, but alas they were not given that "gift". &nbsp;Despite this they still raised me with love and as they were devote worshippers of the god emperor instilled their beliefs in me at a very young age although I had my questions. It was not until the space hulk was bombarded by some asteroids that I saw the light of the&nbsp;omnissiah for it was when one of the asteroids almost struck me that an old maintenance door underneath me opened and slide me into the cold embrace of the internals of space hulk saving my life, I still keep a small fragment of the asteroid as a reminder of that day. After that event I began my studying the wonders of technology under the Cult mechanicus devoting myself to the machine god. My parents themselves died while trying to complete a mission giving to them by the inquisition but I had far more important things to think about then grief. &nbsp; &nbsp;

Daniel, having an extra player seems fine to me. Depends on what the others say though as they where here first. Was mostly just for my own reference. Don't know if we are supposed to wait for the actual game to buy starting gear and talents etc but I just went ahead. EDIT: Oh and the -1 basic skills are actually advance skills that I treat as basic skills due to my Imperial World background, they are still untrained though.

I think 5 is a good number, maybe 6

Willing to GM but yes, 7 players would be a bit too much. 4 is ideal, 5 is doable, 6 is stretching it.

Awesome! About numbers, I'm sure we'd all have a better time if you only take on as many players as you feel comfortable with so from the sounds of it 4 or 5.

Awesome, seems we have the team problem is seeing who out of the seven gets a spot. I would like to keep it to a 4 as that is how DH is designed.

First 4 sound fair? I realise that is a little biased considering I'm the 4th guy to apply... I guess it's up to TP.

First 4 sounds good, up to you all who those 4 will be, as for character creation, I'd prefer it would be done in the actual rp, as in rolling for stats and such in the roll20. I also, thanks to a mate, have a google doc template which works very well to build a character sheet for dark heresy and keep it updated.

Seems we are good to go then. Could you link us the google doc and start the campaign? not to rp right now just to get set up, we also didn't all set on a time, Friday or saturday 8pm onwards seemed okay for most people.
