RP: Shaldinaris

As of late since the last adventure Sharleen had been on, she has been very antsy and seemingly impatient. She put up a notice for all to read within the tipsy mermaid to seek her for a very important request she now sits in the bar awaiting the arrival of anyone who would take the time to listen to her banter. Sharleen currently looks like she hasn't been sleeping much and from what it looks like she has stopped drinking and is currently tapping her foot at a relatively fast pace, she occasionally darts her eyes towards the exit of the Tipsy Mermaid for any adventures seeking her but to her dismay no one has shown up yet. Sharleen begins to grip the edge of the table tightly furrowing her brows if any passerby were to look her way they would notice her scales draw and draw back in almost matching her breathing in a way. She gives a low growl growing rather impatient as time goes by.
Cain comes into the taproom and finds Sharleen and takes a seat next to her. He seems to notice you are acting differently and seems worried. Hello Sharleen, I have seen your post and I would do anything to aid a friend what is it you would ask of me?
Syvil too comes in, he says nothing but nods at the two and joins them. Soon Jana swoops in and she hops up onto Sharleen's shoulder and sits there; making the two look nothing so much as some scowling demon.

Having noticed the piece of paper, Meren arrives as well. Being a man of few words he just makes his way to the table next to Sharleen's and leans over his crossed arms. His left eye glimmers with a soft blue light. A rare sight is seen as Meren smiles warmly. He obviously considers saying something but stays silent. A moment later anyone willing hears in their mind: "I too find myself in debt to you Sharleen. When the opportunity presents itself, you can count on me to fight by your side."
vons taking a nap in the corner of the room in a both a hafe drenk botel of rum infrunt of him
Sharleen looking at the three gives a bit of an exhale in relief believing that no one would show she then stands up and nods toward the door leading into the backroom of the Tipsy Mermaid, "I thank you for showing up but I'd be much comfortable if we were to talk of this in a less rowdy area.." Sharleen says opening the door and waiting for everyone to waltz inside. Once they all get situated Sharleen takes a deep breath and looks towards them "I'm just gonna get straight to the point...Shaldinaris was moved when we were trying to get food for Haven..they took him to Beal's Isle..and I worry what they might be planning with him...look I never asked you all for any favors but..." She pauses for a moment trying her best to stay calm "But I don't know exactly what to do..not only is it heading towards Beal's Isle those blasted bandits are there and  I know those Badgers have something to do with it as well!" She speaks but her voice seems to raise in volume as she begins to get a tad bit emotional. "Shaldinaris is very close to me and I don't know what I'd do with myself if I knew something happened to it without me doing something.." She pauses yet again for about a minute before clearing her throat and slumping in her chair a bit. "That's why I must go to Beal's Isle as soon as possible I know there is so much to do but this is important to me I can't keep getting sidetracked...so what i'm asking is...will you help me get my friend back." Sharleen looks up finally giving them all eye contact she looks to be very tired yet restless as if ready to dart off and swim to Beal's Isle if that's what it took.

"Ah, rest easy friend, of course you shall receive our help." As Meren says this he takes out a translucent dagger. "Each of us knows the bond which exists between a warrior and a weapon." His eyes travel between the other participants. Despite everyone's expectant looks, Meren says no more and just stares blankly at his blade.

Syvil nods. And a small smile quirks his lips. I have told you before that you shall have my aid in this. That has not changed; when do we leave? OOC: Could we 4 set up a mission to actually go do this? Edit: Assuming Taleek wishes for such a group to be assembled. I simply put forth this as a suggestion , of course, and as P.K points out below; Taleek would have to actually greenlight this and it was never my intention to hint at anything else!
Sharleen hears a voice in her head. I have not seen you in a while, I was told you are back in here and look rather disgruntled. Would you mind elaborating for me? It cannot be the skullbuster.... The few here that know you have told me you have not been drinking, which seriously worries me. And if there is a chance I would love to hear the latest news of haven and what you folks have been up to, I was unfortunately unavailable in the recent days.

I'd suggest, if there are no objections, that we schedule a session on Saturday next to retrieve Shadinaris and also confront the pirate-rebels blockading Bael's Isle? Thoughts? Can everyone who wants in on this adventure make such a date?

If there is a mission consider Syvil green to go! With the added mention that I have work until 13:00 BST and will be available within 15 minutes of that time. Further I would recommend that we make sure to get a slot where Meren is available as he can cast Waterbreathing which most certainly will be a most useful ability a sea should anything go wrong; you know, as usual? :]
OOC: I would assume Taleek should decide that :) It is about his character :)

OOC: P.K - If that last was directed at me; My meaning was not to say that the mission would happen , but that if it does ; I (Syvil) am available and wanting to play. Of course I agree with you that Taleek should be the final decider as to whether Sharleen would want such a mission and that might not have been entirely clear and for this I apologize. Update: It was not directed at me :)

And I thought Sea Horses had curled tails...............
Is it fair to pre arrange a full on session like this though given how we've been doing it for the last few weeks?
yeah that is another problem :D

Agreed; hence why I asked. It does seem Sharleen is keeping this somewhat private in character, which is quite understandable, and yet there might be issues with this out of character. Sadly I fear that this will set precedence for a few future cases as well; I know Syvil has a similar quest in mind and he would not be willing to take just anyone along and for, I think, very good reasons. How this should be handled I am not sure; A few ideas: either one could make agreements before hand that certain conditions apply to the mission and the information and or items discovered that only certain people may apply that the mission would have to be text based and not an actual session
Sharleen's eyes brighten a bit as the familiar voice in her head speaks, she gives a small smile before it vanishes right after it appeared "Marokin..it's good to hear from you..it's true I've...got a lot going on at the moment..are you alright now?" She asks looking at the counter of beverages before turning back towards Cain, Syvil and Meren. Sharleen looks toward the ground and mutters "I need to get the Bael's Isle..my friend...Shaldinaris he's there I haft to save him no matter what.." Sharleen states not knowing if she was saying that for Marokin or the people in front of her...or just for her. "Marokin I know you may of had things going on but it'd be great to have you at our side on this...I'd be most grateful if you'd help as well." Sharleen says before falling silent. (I'd be up for however we tackle this problem!)

The reason I decree that this is fair is the following; unless Bael's Isle is tackled by a PC party, it will have to be dealt with by NPCs and will be taken off the roster. The mission it too critical to Haven's continued welfare to be delayed. So though the party might be going for Sharleen, the mission can be arranged ahead of time because of it's urgency in game (and because Saturday is nearly always nailed on for a game, OOC). It will still be subject to a competitive sign up and no players will be disallowed. The only consession is that Sharleen has a free pass to join this mission, since it is critical to her character. In the future, I will be giving each character such a pass once every so often, so that you can both choose a mission ahead of time and gain priority for that mission, so start thinking about how your characters would like to spend there pass when the time comes.
Sharleen hears again the message in her head. "Am I allright? I don't know. We will see. This friend you mentioned, it still confuses me, isn't it a weapon of sorts? Well it is none of my business to ask. But if you need my help I will try my best to give it. And be it only to have back a drinking companion. Although, it might be interesting to see that sober side of yours... Anyway, I will be out at the white horse if you need me, you may find me there." Marokin waits for a reply and then leaves the Tipsy Mermaid.
Sharleen gives a laugh placing her hands on her hips before smiling and nodding "I do hope to see you soon friend..it hasn't been easy as of late...and it won't get any easier any time in the future.." Sharleen pauses before nodding and looking towards the rest and shrugging "That was Marokin if you all were curious.." Sharleen begins to rub the back of her head before piping up once more "So should we talk strategy on how we must approach this issue?" Sharleen asks looking around.
Cain has been listening intently this entire time when you notice a small dog run into the tavern and start tugging at his pant leg he lifts it up and starts rubbing its belly. Good girl Solis. Cain notices some strange looks he is getting from the taproom and puts her down. He clears his throat, Well Sharleen this may be tough to do but there are a few boats blockading the city we can try to punch through them by rallying up the companies and having them decimate the fleet. Other than that we will have to sneak on the island some how. I will see to how successful I can be with the former (Will cost me 2 permanant renown with the suns and fists but its worthwhile)

Jana eyes the puppy suspiciously from where she perches on Sharleen's shoulder. Softly she skips of and flaps down to land on the floor before it; tilting her head to look at the ball of fur.

The little dog whines at the the bird for a moment trying to sniff it confused at what it is, attempting to even lick it but afraid it will peck at her. She eventually puts her chin to the ground and tries to sneak over to get a sniff even though she is not doing the greatest job of sneaking.
Sharleen looks at the two little things and gives a warm smile  she then looks at the new dog and looks toward Cain "Do I even haft to ask?" She says kneeling downward to get a better look at Cain's new little friend.
I was walking past the kennel and my eye happened upon it it has similar eyes to me . Its a white husky looking creature that seems to be albino with shimmering red eyes.

Sharleen nods towards Cain and then looks back at the young dog "Well it's nice to meet you...what was it's name Cain?" Sharleen asks while giving the young pup a gentle pet.
Ah she is Solis cute thing isn't she. The little ones ears pip up and it starts hopping around happily.
With something of a scolding hoot Jana tries to get Solis to calm down a bit; looking every bit like a kindergarten teacher telling an energetic child not to run in the hallway.
