Charts, charts and more charts is what you get for Traveller 5th-edition, but of course some people program and computerize the generation and "maker" systems of the game. Watch for slight differences and problems as the errata are discussed. This German dude has generators for sectors, individual home-worlds, beasts, guns, an on-page dice-roller for all the kinds of Traveller 5 rolls, and more. If you're designing a game, use it! http://heldenhaufen.de/T5/
Yup ... took a look at that ..... If you are a member of Citizens of the Imperium (CotI) there is a very useful T5 links page posted by 'Robject' here --> http://www.travellerrpg.com/CotI/Discuss/showthread.php?t=30549

TRAVELLER 5th-edition online web utilities have improved! Sector Maker has been improved to allow you to save a randomly generated sector's info as a .csv file, edit it in a spreadsheet program to change the planet names or the Universal World Profile (UWP) codes, and you can load it BACK into Sector Maker to show revised sector and sub-sector maps! Load data into Traveller Maps to get different map styles. The mainworld lists below the maps are now CLICKABLE to get the orbits of stars, planets and moons! A vast improvement! Also small bugs have been fixed. http://heldenhaufen.de/T5/ There are also great utilities at a site the first site links to: http://eaglestone.pocketempires.com/ I made a photo album of screenshots from both these sites. Cool! Time-saving for referees! Click each photo for close-ups. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151826432425733.1073741835.716205732&type=1&l=f2795083a8

One thing to be aware of is that while Rob's ship builder works some of its data seems to be out of date. As an example when I was working on the stats for a T5 scout I discovered that it was listing the computer as 1 1/2 tons instead of a single ton. It also was not correctly calculating cost when I was designing sensors so you would have to manually update those to the correct amounts.

Okami, I think the volume of components will vary with Tech level in T5 and whether it's a Prototype, Basic, Advanced Stage component etc. Cost also varies accordingly. Is that what it is doing? The errata file says use the table on p. 500 for the way cost will vary with the Stage of the component. I am not sure if Rob applied that errata statement or not.

Yeah. It varies according to the staging but the base size should be 1 ton before staging effects and he has it as 1.5 tons before staging. I also noticed that when I was working on sensors after I had done mount and staging the price was not correct. I didn't notice what it was that wasn't calculating correctly. I just noticed it was wrong.

You can politely mention your observations on Citizens of the Galaxy (travellerrpg.com). In the Traveller 5 sections, one of the "sticky" threads is Robject's thread (Rob Eaglestone), the maker of the apps online. http://www.travellerrpg.com/CotI/Discuss/showthread.php?t=30549 I'm pleased with the SectorMaker from the other guy, the German guy Thalassogen. It finally allows me to get a sector done, I just have to stick in appropriate mainworld names. It will take a while to do everything but I'll just concentrate on the "home" subsectors for my game. But when saving the .csv file back from the spreadsheet, you have to watch the formatting.
If you are interested in a sector generator, I have a friend that has developed a stand alone program to create sectors. He has used it to create the Mikhail Sector on the web based Traveller Map. http://www.travellermap.com/?x=98.209&y=-172.31&scale=3.364&options=887&style=poster -- MHW

I've mentioned it to Rob, so he's aware of the problems. He just hasn't had time to go through all the data. I suspect that he might be using data from the beta. I don't want to sound like I'm saying don't use the program. It is still useful for getting the ship 'roughed out'. I'm just providing a caveat that it may not be completely accurate.
