Oh Yea! Oh Yea! The Seneschal is offering a reward of 200 gold for any who can throw light on the recent burning of some important documents recovered from Tomb Isle. These documents were burned last week; on the Feast of Phillipa Ayguptus, by person or persons unknown. All information to be sent to the City Watch. Oh Yea! Oh Yea!

Oh Yea! Oh Yea! The price of bread is hereby doubled and all citizens shall surrender up to the City Granaries all flour and grains they possess, upon pain of a severe fine in this time of shortages. Oh Yea! Oh Yea!

Oh Yea! Oh Yea! The bread riots of the last night in Low Town will not be tolerated. The Seneschal hereby orders the City Watch to impose a curfew. All persons walking the streets of Haven after dark shall be imprisoned and fined. Oh Yea! Oh Yea!

The false rumour spreads like Bael's Fire, and only when the false crier is arrested, and hanged , does the matter get cleared up; apparently someone thought it would be funny to try to spread panic and chaos with this rumour, or at least this is the official explanation...

The food crisis is now abated and the Lords of Haven consider that starvation is no longer a likelihood and can now set their sights to relieving Bael's Isle. Oh Yea! Oh Yea!

Let it here be known that the Lord Captains of Haven launched a successful attack on the Fortress of the Burning Blade two days ago and that the Fortress is now blockaded and the Blades' Warships destroyed. Said Fortress is now invested by Two War Cogs of the Iron Fist and shall remain under siege until such time as an army can be raised to storm the fortress.

Oh Yea! Oh Yea! Let it be known that a Knight of the Vale shall come to Haven next month to discuss an alliance and the Privy Council have decreed a day of feasting to honour this Lord.

Oh Yea! Oh Yea! Let it be known that the Lord Captains of Haven decree that the recent feast shall henceforth be a regular festival in the calendar of Haven and the province of Maladon; to be known as the Feast of Raos to honour our new Po-ta-to lord.

Any who think to break this stricture should think again for his Majesty's Cutter Golaith is now stationed offshore and shall throw in chains any who attempt landings. Other measures are also in place, of an eldtrich nature. Oh Yea! Oh Yea!

Let it be known that on this, the 23rd of Havis, in the 6th year of his Glorious Majesty's reign, that the Lords of Haven have made treaty with the Dwarven Kingdom of Khulican and that the stricture of forbiddance on the Isle is repealed with immediate effect for all craft wishing to travel to Camp Vedinia.  Oh Yea! Let it here be known that on this, the 28th of Havis, in the 6th year of his Glorious Majesty's reign, that the Lords of Haven have constituted the Honorable Company of Merchants of Haven Trading into Southern Maladon. The South Maladon Company is invested with Camp Vedinia and imperial charter to trade with the Dwarven Kingdom of Khulican.  Oh Yea! Oh Yea!

Let it here be known on this the 32st day of Havis that his Imperial Majesty the Emperor of Valmar, Lord Octavin of House Julianus, is to grace the unlovely city of Haven with his most exalted presence. Oh Yea! Oh Yea! Let it be known that a former adventurer of the Blue Sashes, Ildra, was killed by the white horses as she approached the encampment in Makra. The members of the camp claim that she was partly flayed and that one of her eyes was missing from her head and instead an eye was dangling on a pendant from her neck. A member of the camp claims that this person threatened anyone entering their territory with death before the creature was disposed of by Ms Butterworth. Oh Yea! Oh Yea!

Let it be known that one 'Pest' Horseman has been indicted for attempted murder of the noble lady Elenora Le'Sarade Faun'loup and his associate Onyx Blackburrow is also charged with obstruction of the Emperor's justice! Further; the foul servants of the De Courcey Family, known as the Red Hand are also declared Anathema as these two nests of vipers did conspire to slay His Majesty and now are moving to steal his crown. Let it here be known on this day 29th of Froar that his most Exalted Majesty Octavin Julianus has today decreed that all men in Haven of fighting age be conscripted with immediate effect. Only those fighting men who are members of the Nine Companies are exempt. These measures are necessary to protect the peace and stability of the Empire; said men shall be trained in camps to be established on Bael's Isle and formed into War Hosts. OOC: any PC who is not a member of a Company and not wearing Company livery shall now be required to make a d20 roll for each day they are in Haven. A roll of 1 indicates you have been captured by the Press Gang and indentured into the Emperor's army. Women, the infirm, and business owners generating more than 500 gp per year artisans or those in essential work are exempt.

Oh Yea! let it here be known that his illustrious Majesty Octavin doth hereby decree on this, the first day of Quickern 987 that the Iron Fists shall no longer be responsible for the Watch on the City of Haven and that the Watch of Haven is hereby formed with immediate effect; those wishing to join apply to the Chapterhouse of the Blue Sashes.

Oh Yea! Oh Yea! Let it here be known, on this, the 3rd day of Quickern that four new towns are now granted Imperial Charters. These towns shall be Dwortown, Redvale, Downgarth, and Yalesbrook and these latter three towns shall be free of any Lord save The Emperor and shall owe no taxes or dues to any without Imperial Decree. Dwortown shall remain a hold of the Temple of Light in accordance with recent custom. Oh Yea! Oh Yea!

Let it be known, on this day 5th of Quickern in the 7th year of Octavin's Reign, that the Lady Aurelia of House Donau is granted the title of Baroness of Redvale and shall hold said town for the Emperor and shall permit no others to make use of the lands or rights that Emperor Octavin places within her gift. Oh Yea! Oh Yea! Let it here be known; on this day the 24th of Quickern that the Brotherhood of Light are now declared Anathema. The Leader of this cult; Maximilian of House Valentis, has been uncovered by the Mercenary Guild as a spy for the Red Emperor Mennias and has fled Haven with his cotorie of followers. Maximillian stands accused of the murder of Sir Talwyn of house De Vere and the Rising Sun, as Maximiliian and his followers plundered the Lodge of Light in the midst of their flight. Evidence suggests the Brotherhood has established a secret hold somewhere on Maladon and Emperor Octavin has issued a reward for the location of this monastery. Oh Yea! Oh Yea!

Oh Yea! Oh Yea! The Emperor has ordered a patrol to set forth and scout the Blackdown hills and the approaches to Dwerrodeep and onwards to the sea. 500 gp is offered for those undertaking this long mission; and the Company will set out in 4 days on the 30th of Quickern. Enquire at the Unicorn Inn for details as the Company is currently being convened. Oh Yea! Oh Yea!

Oh Yea! Oh Yea! Forces of the Red Emperor have landed on Bael's Isle on this the 40th day of Quickern, and are hazarding the area and attempting to disrupt the plantings. This force shall be brought to battle within the next few days. All men in Haven are to report to muster in order to be assigned tasks in the event of an attack on Haven Isle. Let it here be known on this the 38th day of Mittern, that his Majesty the illustrious Octavin shall this day set forth with his fleet in commission of the recovery of the Empire from the Usurper and his Cabal of ignoble supporters! The Fleet shall sail with all his Majesty's forces to Medara on the next tide. Oh Yea! Oh Yea!

The Emperor further proclaims that all noble folk of Maladon are deposed on this day and their lands seized in forfeiture for the sin of offering comfort and aid to his Majesty's detested enemy, the despised and disgraced Octavin, of the former house of Julianus. In addition, the Ten Companies are hearby disbanded with immediate effect and the open carrying of weapons within the Imperial Province is made punishable by death; on the personal orders of his Majesty's Governor Attius Scipio.
