Another look for Firefly/Serenity Core game

Hi all its been some time since I last looked for any GM out there that is running this sort of game. I have character ideas and am willing to make something that will fit into the crews needs if any of them are not viable. I am still fairly new on the rules so would need a quick run down as its been some time. I am in the GMT time zone. I am free on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at the moment all from 8pm till late(preferably the game not starting after midnight). Thanks for reading and I hope some one is looking for a crew :)
The characters I have written up are a Ships Medic: Narlia Tanner, Ships Engineer: Will Wicks and Security/Cook: Ranma Lee. Any interested parties feel free to ask for more details on these character ideas.

Suppose I can go into a bit more detail about the chars in case that's what is keeping people at bay. Character 1 Will Wicks, Engineer: He is a bit like Simon from the show, well educated with a talent that got nurtured. This is where there likenesses end. William (Will) excelled at the mathematical theory's behind space travel and how his passion (Engines) worked. But he was always trying to find ways to improve, or got bogged down with keeping every little part working at its maximum potential. This small obsession kept him up late cleaning, tweaking and reworking parts. This led to him being forced into taking stimulants to keep him awake through his studies/lesions. All of this left him with a addiction to tinker a phobia of needles (the stimulants), and a week stomach. But he did pass with flying colours and is seen as a truly gifted man with machines. He has a sense for what is needed to keep things running (a lot like Kaylee does). He knows his way around a ship even its big guns (if the ship is equipped). Due to his addiction to keeping a ship/engine in running order he even took zero gravity training so to be able to fix things on the outside if needed (or if gravity just goes inside).
Character 2 Ranma Lee, Security/Cook: Grew up on a rim planet with horses and livestock. Gun smugglers sold there wears to the local scum and it got a lot of people killed. Ranma stood up to them and had to leave his family for fear of them being hurt. Now he seeks work where he can with his limited (but deadly) skill set. His family runs and owns one of the last old style Dojos. Ranma is a family man. He has a very strict personal code, one drilled into him from a young age. These are a mix of the traditions of the Dojo (its meditation, fighting style, athletic/fitness routines and such). Also his self views, such as his family being his world. If they were to disappear (or be harmed) he would be left devastated. This is one of the main reasons he isn't with them at the moment. After standing up to the Gun smugglers he felt it was safer for his wife and children if he left, taking the feud the smugglers partners had with him, off world. Due to his prejudiced for guns he tends to stay clear of them himself vowing to not use them. This isn't so bad for a man like Ranma who is highly skilled in body and mind. His reflexes and skill are beyond that of average or trained combatants, being able to flip, roll and preform other athletic feats to avoid being targeted easily as reflexive due to a life time of training. His skill in hand to hand is nearly second to none. The lost arts he has been taught has made him one of the most deadly martial artist in the verse (little to his or most peoples knowledge). But fighting is something he is great at. But his real passion is always his family, and as such he often cooked for them. This little hobby of his soon turned into a daily chore he was happy to do. He might not be a gourmet chef but he is better than a novice. This has often been a good cover for him as he moved about the verse looking for stable work. He isn't exactly good at blending in, not for lack of trying. He is a rather short man with tattoos and is in peek physical condition. He see's the crew members he gets along with as extensions to his family and if the captain gives an order he will no doubt jump to it as a built in need to complete tasks set by his mentor and teachers while growing up. Wife: Kasumi Age: 29 Uncle: Soun Age: 53 Second of the Dojo Daughter: Nabiki Age: 8 Student of Dojo Daughter: Akane Age: 5 new student of Dojo Father: Genma Age: 55 Master of family Dojo Brother: Ryoga Age: 26 Student of Dojo

Character 3 Narlia Tanner, Ships Medic: She has a southern bell accent and calls most people "Honey, Honey Bee, Sugar, Sugar Pie, Baby, Sweetie, Sweetie Pie and Darlin." Cheeky and flirtatious. Often using her powers of persuasion to get what she wants done by others, but doesn't mean any harm. She enjoys the challenge of being the distraction for the team, getting to flirt with people and danger is a thrill. She is a very nice mix of Inara's persuasive skills mixed with medical training. Not really a fighter. Much more the face of the crew. Born on a frontier planet with limited tech. Had medical training due to a lack of good paying jobs and her father was already in the field. Her mother tried and failed to put a leash on her (and her sisters) activities when it came to dating. It was a dull planet to grow up on and one of the few things to do that she really enjoyed was making men chase her (and her sister). She enjoys riding horses and shirking minor duty's, like cleaning up the kitchen, her turn at monitoring something, shunting stuff about like cargo, and other unimportant tasks. Her favorite past time is lulling men into her lustful ways. Most of the many cloths she owns are rather revealing. She has a Dr's coverall for surgery, and even some warmer cloths for when the temperature drops or is raining (but even they can open up in the front if she wants to flash some skin) During her time through the verse Narlia has done many things, most being relationships, not always for her own good or safety. One of the many found her in a passionate coupling with a Triad member. His name was "Hulin Mo". It was a classic tale of Doctor falling for her patient, be it under extreme circumstances. Mo and others had been fighting with legal authorities, and they bust into the place she was working and demand everyone to do as they say. Everyone knew to do just that and people got to work fixing them all up. But it was no easy task, even after the initial drama was over Mo was still in need of more care and already Narlia had come to feel for the young man as she comforted him on his near death bed. She was taken with the Triad to help treat Mo, and so the romance began. 2 months later Narlia was released due to her overly persuasive skills and the fact most of the team Mo was working with had been ether killed or moved on to other things. Mo had turned very sour over the last month, Narlia had been seen all to often with his sister and brother making him even more jealous and angry at her. Sure she had spent a drunk night with his little sister "Meh-e Mo" but that wasn't the reason. She was pregnant and she was sure Mo knew it. Narlia needed Meh-e to cover for her as she made her way to freedom. She left there baby boy "Ethan Tanner (Mo) with her sister Jessica. She has some training in shot guns but other than that Narlia is very passive. She uses her drop dead gorgeous look (that she is all to aware of) to get jobs done. A very stand out in the crowd person with a very good skill set.
Ok that's the 3 crew members I have information written for (I do have images for all these as well to make them come to life more) and any of them would be fun for me to try out. It wouldn't be to hard to come up with something else if none of these crew slots are open. Hope someone comes forward with a game, I can't be the only one here that would like to play :) If there is others interested show some love and post so a potential GM will spot this easier and make setting up a crew simpler.
You have some well thought out characters that would make a great start for an amazing crew! I have the corebook for both Firefly and Serenity, and I would love the opportunity to get involved in a game and learn the system.
Practically speaking, Sunday is probably your best bet, since that opens up the opportunity to play with people in the Americas, where most of the Roll20 folks are living. Being specific to a lesser-known system and European times is going to be a serious hindrance in finding groups, I'm afraid. As for myself - I love the setting (duh), but the system just doesn't work for me. I have played with great people in a Firefly game that used Savage Worlds as a system, which doesn't take much effort at all to make work for whatever setting you wish. I found them through Roll20, so there's definitely (some) fans around - but it may take a while to find them.
I'm willing to learn another set of rules. I have only had a little experience with Firefly Core and Serenity as it is :) Just had a lot of fun with both of the rules and people I have gamed with and wanted some more haha
Still on the look out for a game. Not seeing any in a good time slot. People did warn me :P
Good luck finding a game, I know Firefly/Serenity is hard to find.
I too would love to play
Good to hear Alan. Just wish DM's would read this thread :P
I have actually been thinking about running a Firefly campaign. Was just looking to see what kind of interest was listed on the forums. And i am still new to Roll20. Ive been playing in a game that hasnt utilized the mapping program at all.. I was thinking of play testing that for a bit before Diving in the deep end.

Well feel free to hit up anyone on this threat with some details :)
Todd W. I have some 'mods' for you to use to help you get started. (A mod is a story/game that has ALL the info you will need. i.e. all you need to do is more or less is just read it)
I'd be curious to see your "mods' Does anyone in this forum have a good understanding of the Roll20 software that can give me a run down, tutorial is good an all, but i would like a better more personal demonstration.
Feel free to email me alandanielyoung@gmail.com and I will send you a few (mods). And I have used roll20 to dm a few times. So if you have any questions feel free to ask

Been a few days so thought I would ask if these any news. As it sounded like something might be brewing.
im Intrested i love the setting hit me up with a PM
I'm interested but completely new to the game.
Ive read the book for the most part, im still going thru sections trying to get a better grasp of it. But so far the Firefly book is a good read if you want to know more about the TV show, as for a game system i think its trash.. Thats my first impression, maybe need to run a 1 off game or something using these rules. I just dont care for them.
Fair enough Dorlar. We will keep an eye out all the same, but thanks for the interest while it lasted.
Been another week and i've been enjoying some nice games of D&D. But while i have days free I would really like to take a trip into the verse and this thread is till open for any GM willing to recruit some of us :)
