I would love it if I did not have to copy and paste every character token onto every map page. Being able to select the whole group and copy it or as someone else suggested drag the name from the journal would be a real time saver.
I would love the option to drag from the journal. I use token images for my character journal images and would love to just be able to drag them onto new maps. Or copy the entire party to paste them onto a new map.
However with the new Character sheet system if you have HP and similar things set dynamically to token and sheet, you can just have the tokens sitting ready and waiting for the switch too. But the dragging from Journal would be awesome for randomly rolled and not pre-planned encounters.
You can copy the entire party. Simply put all the tokens for the party close together, where you won't accidentally select something else. Then just click and drag the selection box over all of them. Then copy as you would for a single token, then paste on the new page. I would still like the option to drag from the journal, of course, but at least you can copy the whole party at the same time right now.
On a related note- could tokens be linked to Characters? Making it easier to pull a specific character up at any time? I realize this option might not let them take current dynamic effects (hps, whatever) in the circles may not transfer from screen to screen this way, but it would allow recurring NPCs and baddies to be pulled up quickly.
If you have dev server access, tokens are linked to characters. You still have to copy/paste between maps, but they all update automatically when either the character is altered or any token is altered.
