Looking for 3-4 Players to join us in a new Shadorun 4e game. Games will be Tuesdays at 7pm New York time. I suggest downloading chummer for easy character creation.
Based on your post, I'm guessing the games are weekly.  Is that accurate?
That is very accurate, yes.
What setting do you have in mind? The Sixth World is a big place, after all!

See, our DM hasn't DMed Shadowrun since 2nd Edition and when I asked him he didn't say, but I am sure he'll be willing to tell you himself!
If I may ask, why did you decide to go for 4th Edition, rather than 5th? I have books (and experience) with both, so it's mostly curiosity.
I choose 4e due to the fact it's the most up-to-date version of Shadowrun, meaning it has the most books and therefore the most flexibility in what kind of characters you might make due to the supplemental editions being all released for 4e. I also personally have the most experience with 4e.
Ah, ok. I personally find that 5th Edition has all the books you might need (Rigger 5 was released not that long ago, for instance). But if you are more comfortable with 4th, it makes sense to prioritize it, of course. Pity that the Matrix is so silly in 4th.
This is true! But this also generally isn't a problem for me because I often play characters who don't even touch the matrix. But like I said I know little about 5e and I think CHummer (even though there is a 5e variant of it) makes 4e more approachable.
Fair enough! I'll wait for some news for your GM, so there's a better view on what the plans are. With that in hand, I can figure out whether it'd suit me.
Alright I will keep you posted! Would you like a temporary invite to the game for now?
It might be a good way to get to know the current players. At the end of the day, rules can be made to work, but if the personalities don't mesh, the rest is pretty academic.
I couldn't make it weekly, which is why I asked. I would be up for playing occasionally though if the group didn't mind having an extra runner pop in and out
Would you be willing to take on someone new to Shadowrun?
Sure, if you are willing to learn the somewhat complex system.
Hmm, i havent played SR for a longer period of time since 3e. But i would like to join. Somewhere i had made once a 4e char, but did not got the chance to play him.
We're always welcome to veterans of Shadowrun! One of our players and our GM are veterans of Shadowrun's previous versions.
what are the creation rules? standard?
I am assuming so but the first session will be  going over charact creation/relations and will no doubt go over that as well.
