Roll20CON, what are good ways to help or get involved?

I'm not big into twitter and the such, while my job does call for being a presenter of sorts at times. I was wondering what could be done to help out? I'm looking for a place or a corner you could say to start my own social media uprising if you will. I believe Roll20 has actually been the first place for me to be so active on the forums and involved in the news of a specific product on a regular basis. So I was wondering what more could be done? If any have any advice or suggestions, it would be much appreciated.
Greetings  Saevar L. "Liquid-Sonic" - the best way for you to get involved and help our community will be to plan on GMing as many games as you can during the event and to spread the word to others to do the same. Once registration opens on May 3rd, you will be able to start making and scheduling games using our LFG Tool. As an avid forum user, I would then recommend heading here to rally up some players for these games. If you want to take to social media, you can use your own Twitter account to advertise your games - using hashtags to reach a larger audience (like #DnD or #RPG), making sure to tag  @roll20app - this will allow us to see those tweets and we can also RT some of them to help you find players. We can't guarantee a RT on everything, but we will certainly be sharing a lot of content during the convention. If you have more questions, ask away - feedback is always welcome and I am happy to hear it!

This sounds like fun! It would also be a good opportunity for API script writers and character sheet authors to showcase their work in games that they run for the event. :D

I've never participated in a con. Will there be some advice from R20 for GMs about setting up and running games? For example, what's the advice on voice/video coms? I've played in a few games and almost each one has had people wanting to use different coms for reasons ranging from preference to technical.

Great questions  Carl T - We actually already have a video up on YouTube from our Games Master Adam. Check out -  GMing: You Can Do It! for tips on how to GM. We also have a ton a stuff on  our wiki that may help, including our  Live Stream and Record Games wiki for advice on steaming! As for voice/video coms, that's really up to you! Roll20 has built-in Voice & Video via ToxBox and a Google Hangouts option, plus lots of other users have enjoyed using Roll20 with a 3rd party chat system like Skype or Discord. For more information on specific game setup in Roll20, you might try searching the forums for your game or starting a new thread to ask some specific Roll20 setup related questions. You picked a great convention to attend for your first, this should be a very easy and enjoyable event!
Question, the scheduling games and what not, are we allowed to advertise for them early on the lfg threads? Perhaps just running a few practice shorts?

Absolutely! While our goal is to get as many of you online on June 3rd as possible, we are certainly ok with folks using the lead up to plan and prepare in whatever way they choose. Since games will need to use the Roll20CON game tag to access Plus features (once registration opens on May 3rd this will be more clear), we will just ask that the prep lead to a game played during the convention. Keep an eye on the LFG forum, we will be sharing some Roll20CON posting rules very soon. Thank you for these questions, please keep them coming. Your feedback is very helpful as we plan this event and your questions are helping us ensure we think about all the things!

Hi Avacyn. I should have been a bit more specific. I've GM'd both F2F and on R20 (although it was interesting to hear Adam's take), but have never GM'd in a con setting (nor attended one to play). So my questions are more con GMing logistics related: 1. What's a recommended game length? 2. Should I be making pregens? If people are signing up ahead of time though they could theoretically make their own 1-shot characters. 3. While COMS choice is great, it seems like it would suck to eat up 15 minutes just trying to get everyone to agree on a voice setup. Is it acceptable to just say, "We're using R20 coms - sorry no exceptions"? 4. If there's last minute no shows, what channels are available to quickly recruit besides spamming LFG forums?
