D&D 4e "Draj: City of the Moon" (9/6, 9 pm Eastern)

During the Flower War in which only the strongest of the warriors of Draj may become Jasuan Knights , the moons Ral and Guthay - mother and father to Tectuktitlay , Bringer of Life - must be appeased in the bloody, ritualistic game of Ollamalitzli . Go then, slave, and take your place in the celestial ball court: Win and be honored by the Moon Priests , the templars of Draj. Lose and offer up your heart and head in the calli of the ziggurat to slake Ral and Guthay's thirst for mortal sacrifice. Will you earn your freedom from a life of servitude or will your head be used as the pelota in the next match? Let's find out Friday, September 6th, 9 pm Eastern! Looking for 5 players. D&D 4e, 4th-level, one-shot Dark Sun setting All legal options permitted except for some constraints based on thematic considerations appropriate to the Dark Sun setting Google+ Hangouts for voice chat (required) Experience with D&D 4e preferred At least basic macros required Those expressing interest in this post or via PM will be given a link to the campaign. There you will find further instructions to secure your spot.  Your spot is not secured until those instructions are followed.  You will be expected to be on time and stay for the entire scenario (approx. 4 hours). If you sign up for a spot and then don't show without notice, you will banned from all future games this DM runs. If you're late, you'll be kicked and an alternate will be given your spot. The Father of Life does not tolerate rudeness.
Two thri-kreen slaves have been moved into the staging area deep under the ziggurat. There they are ritually cleansed and covered in garlands of flowers before being permitted to enter the celestial ball court. We need three more sacrifices before the match can begin. Who will step forward and lay their heart and head on the line before the Father of Life?
A dark-haired half-elf is being dragged and dunked into the ritual baths - rosewater, citrus fruit peels and exotic oils. Sacrifices must be made clean before they are offered to Ral and Guthay. Two more sacrifices are needed. Come forward, slaves.
Acolytes of the Moon Priests hand over copious bowls of chicha - a mind-altering drink made from fermented maize and desert flowers - to a half-giant, knowing it may be the last thing he drinks before having his still-beating heart torn from his chest. They inhale deeply from burning cigaros and blow smoke to ritually cleanse this warrior before the great game of Ollamalitzli begins. One more sacrifice needed. It is a great honor to spill one's blood for Ral and Guthay. Be not afraid.
As the final sacrifice - a rugged mul - takes her spot and is draped with garlands, she catches a familiar face in the crowd: A horned mutant hailing from the deep desert. Was this the servitor of the Shadow King of Nibenay here in Draj? This does not bode well for Hotaka Jin is an instrument of vile purpose. A second glance and he's gone. Ral and Guthay demand more sacrifices in case these five prove unworthy. Though the game is full, those aspiring to give their last for the Father of Life are encouraged to come forward. They will be given a spot in the celestial ball court if fate intervenes.
