Any way to make an aura cover hexes?

Currently the auras are circle or square. Would be great if there was a way to make it fill hexagons.
Nope.

About the best way to do what you is to use a 3rd party software like gimp and make semitranslucent overlay then save it in the png format before uploading it. It would be possible to make an API script that could do this, it would require a Pro Subscription to use though.
Cool, thanks for the suggestions. Any hints on getting started with the API script for something like that. I did not realize I could affect the hexes using the API.

I suspect Aaron means using hex-shaped graphics to span the area of the aura, and using the API to make them follow the token around.

That's pretty much exactly what I mean.  A grey transparent hexagon on the top of the map layer (for player visible) or the bottom of the gm layer (for gm visible) which is positioned to be centered on a token and scaled to be approximately the size of the hexes for the map.  I'd watch changes to either Aura1 or Aura2 on tokens, use the color of the aura as the tint of the hex graphic, use the radius of the aura to scale the size of the hex, use the player visibility of the aura to determine which layer to put the hex on.  Rotate by 30º depending on V-hex or H-hex grid.
Nice, thanks
