I'm pretty new to tabletop and Roll20, but I am going to DM a sandbox world using 5E and Forgotten Realms deities. This will be a long-term campaign (the continent is quite large) with rotating players in the style of RollPlay West Marches. I will also be changing up the days/times from session to session so that everyone can be included every few sessions. I'm looking to build up a roster of 8-12 players who will get a chance to play at least every 2-3 sessions. If you can't play tonight, that's fine because you can start next time with others who didn't start tonight. This will be a politics-heavy campaign with calculated influence with all relevant factions, and it will probably be about 50/50 roleplay/combat. We've got 3 players set up for tonight already, so I'd be willing to include 1-2 more (and others can join the roster for next time). The other players are mostly new players, with one very experienced former DM. My main goal is just to make this fun for everyone (including me), and I will be using some homebrew rules as we go along (including the Town Upgraded options for West Marches). Rules as Intended matters more to me than strict adherence to Rules as Written. I'm looking for players who are respectful and like roleplay (even if you are a bit shy at first). I'm not looking for optimizing players, and I need players to be patient with me as I'm brand new to DMing. This will be an adult-themed game in terms of language. If you are interested, please respond here with some info about you and your experience with D&D and Roll20, as well as your time zone and availabilities going forward. You don't need to tell me your intended class or race yet, as you may need to be flexible based on who else is playing tonight. I am going to prioritize newer players because this will be a good campaign for you to learn. Please also identify whether you can play tonight or are just interested in getting on the roster for future sessions (they won't all be 7-10 pm Thursdays). Edit: Forgot to say that we'll be using Voice only, for Skype (for now, though maybe a different program later).
