GM LFG for weekly Age of Rebellion game [GMT+1]

Some friends of mine recently asked me to run an Edge of the Empire game, even though I've never played the game myself. Instead of declining, I took up the challenge, though I will need some experience with the system, and thus, I am here. I've chosen Age of Rebellion instead, in order to have two distinct games when the EotE game starts up, while still learning to know the core rules :)

Personally, I'm a 25 year old male dane, who has been a GM for just about 11 years, though have never had prior experience with this game, though I am a fan of Star Wars. I see myself as friendly and patient, and my top goal is to make an amazing game for my players to enjoy, even if it means bending a few rules ;P

What I seek:

• 4-5 Friendly, reliable and serious RPers, though wth room for humor.
• Deep characters with plenty of room for development.
• Weekly games, preferably Sundays or weekdays besides Monday and Friday. Otherwise, I'm flexible.
• Experienced or inexperienced players, both are appreciated, so long as they understand that I am learning myself.

What it's all about:

• The game will focus on a small group of Rebels working outside the chain of command, in semi-isolation from the rest of the Alliance.
• Choice based gameplay, meaning you'll be presented with options, rather than a single mission.

The Story is not completely done as of yet, but will be set after the destruction of the Death Star. I would like to know what characters might be played to get into the details :3

What you should do if interested:

• Join! (du'h...)
• Give a short presentation of yourself and the days and times you're available.
• Give a short description of the character you would like to play (or characters, if you want to have options depending on the rest of the players) :)

I will be upgrading to a Pro account next month to allow us to utilize the full functionality of the Star Wars Sheet ^^

Depending on the time of day on one of the weekdays I'd be more than happy to sign myself up, however I'm in GMT time so the evening in the US is getting pretty damn late here (Edit just realised you're GMT+1 so yea any of those weekdays sounds excellent to me), but Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday are all good by me, possibly in the evening on sunday as well.

So yea, anyways I'm Rob, I've run lots of games of different types over the years (primarily DnD though), been a player in a few as well luckily, I'm a big fan of narrative and storytelling (not a big fan of murderhobo syndrome) I've a little experience with the Star Wars FFG system (but by no means an expert) and I'm a 26 year old artist. In terms of characters I'd have to think on it more and would like to discuss that with a full group if I'm honest, but if pressed probably an ace pilot or a soldier or a spy.

Bah... curse my work schedule. So many games I'd like to play, but I can only make it every other week.

Any time of day works for me as it stands, though evenings would probably fit most players best :)

As said, I'd like to do weekly games, but if everyone else can agree on Bi-weekly, I can adjust. Gives me some more prep time anywuss :P

I'm interested! I've played in one Edge of the Empire game and I'm itching to get into another Star Wars game that fits the European time zone. I don't have the rulebook for AoE, but I would consider picking it up after a few sessions. I do have the EotE book, so I can use that as a reference and collaborate on character creation.  I'm thinking of playing some kind engineer or slicer character. I'm avaliable to play Sunday, Monday, and Thursday nights. I'll have more open days open in a couple of weeks. If you're interested, please send me a pm.

2 UK newish players are free for a weekday game on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. (Wednesday pref).

Personlly I have played a fair amount of role play games, mostly 40k RP stuff. I have always loved the star wars universe so would love the opportunity to play in a game.

Unfortunately I do not have access to the rule books yet, but I would like to play as some form of bounty hunter-ish guy if possible. But would like to sort that out with the group as well :).

Thanks for the interest! You're more than welcome, and while I might be able to fit a bounty hunter, IF you can think of something a little more fitting to a Rebel cell, that'd be great, but of course, we can always discuss, I'm a patient and lenient guy ^^ I'll send you an invite, and you can give it to your friend.

I am super excited but I can only really do Wednesday evenings or Sunday anytime.  I would want to do a gunslinger styled smuggler ish kind of character.  Cowboy attitude.

While I technically closed the recruitment, I did write you personally(or in your thread at least), so I'll send you an invite. We'll discuss times, and if it doesn't work out, you're free to leave ^^

I know you are closed for recruitment, but since you responded to my thread with this one, me and my 14 year old would be interested if the 12-4pm CST timeframe works. Can we make characters from any sourcebook? (EOE, AOR, F&D). What rules do you have about Duty/Obligation?

And we're only using the EOE and AOR books, Force Users don't strike our fancy for this ^^;;

They're all fine with you guys joining. However, times have yet to be discussed, but I was thinking that would be the timeframe anywuss ^^

I'm interested but be warned!!! I have never played SW. I am eager to learn tho if you accept me. I'm available Sunday's until 6pm EST and all day Monday.
