Completely new to D&D

Me and my girlfriend are currently willing to pick up D&D 5e, but are completely new to the whole thing. I've never been in a session before, I haven't created a character yet, and so far we acquired the starter D&D 5e set. I was wondering if there were any DMs out there willing to teach us and nurture us into actual players? Preferably with the starter campaign, and with video and voice for all of us. We have freelance work-at-home so any schedule will fit for us. Thanks!
I am willing on joining if you guys find someone to DM :) I am brand new to it but I am a quick learner I'm free Mondays and Tuesdays all day and Sundays I get home from work at 7:30 and am good for a late night. (eastern)
Sounds great! I saw other thread with a new player too, so I think we could have a starting group! Although since I'm completely newbie to this game, I'm not sure if everyone would mind it to use the pre-generated characters to get the hang of it.
Hey if you find a game or make one could I join you too ive been looking for a game for a long time!
I'd like to run the Lost Mine of Phandelver, which is the starter adventure for new players, all we need is a DM who can teach us the ropes!
I'd love to get involved, also new to this. Willing to play immediately if I could find a group to show me the ropes.

I'd be willing to run a pathfinder game if people are interested, seems like some of you are new to all editions. Pathfinder is called D&D 3.75, and it's an adaptation/carry over from D&D 3.5. When WoTC stopped supporting and updating 3.5 (which is by far the most popular edition), a group called Paizo that was already established as the largest companion/3rd party writers for 3.5 decided to continue the development of this. They did so by creating an add on to 3.5 that was completely compatible, after a few years they changed it, modified it, and tweaked it until it was it's own finely polished game. Now it is the most popular version, and the most balanced/finely tuned. I strongly suggest that new players learn this edition instead of 5e. Obviously that's just my opinion, and I'm not trying to discourage people from learning RPG. 5th edition is better than no edition :P Also Thomas, I sent you a PM about your map.
Hey I'm new to D&D online but have some irl expierience. I would love to join if at all possible. Thanks!
Kaz and Dreamrider I will be starting a new series on Friday if you guys are interested in joining us come to https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/45824/desert-of-desolation and post there so I can extend the invite. We welcome new players and this will be D&D 5E. The whole goal of this game series will be to have some fun. I estimate it will take 6-8 games to complete the 3 adventure set.
Thank you very much for your invitations, John and John. I would just really like to get started with the 5th edition campaign that I already have to get a feel of the game and then from there I can take it. I would even retry the campaign as DM for other new players so I can get some experience in that department as well, all I need is the starting push so I can get to that point :P
Keep us posted. I'd accept a one off or anything at this point. I'm a stay at home dad and I'm bored all the time, need something to take my mind off the stress.
Can everyone who's new like me and my girlfriend (and I mean absolutely new and willing to play with the pre-generated characters) send me a PM so I can get timezones and start forming a more solid newbie group? All we probably need now is a willing GM :P
We have a DM!
