Heroes Unlimited players band together.

I am looking for other Heroes Unlimited 2nd (revised) players and hopefully a GM.  The GM doesn't have to be Johnny on the spot with the rules, I can help with those.  Just looking for some Palladium players who aren't Rifts crazy.  Monday nites and Saturday nites are completely free.  Tuesday nites might be free.  I could game earlier on other days.  I really like super hero game and even games that mix super heroes and the undead like Peter Clines EX series.  If anyone makes a Heroes Unlimited 2nd Revised game, drop me message.
Aw man! Heroes Unlimited and TMNT & Other Strangeness (and Shadowrun) were my favorite tabletop games when I first started playing. Never got into Rifts -- just way too all over the place. I ran a 3-year-long Heroes Unlimited campaign. So many good times! I haven't looked at or run a Palladium game in over a decade. I'm currently learning the Savage Worlds system so I can run Interface Zero -- otherwise I'd love to GM this. I'm just too far removed from the system to give a campaign justice. I'd be very interested in playing though! Maybe I could GM later once I got my head around the system again?
Well I wouldn't mind, if you did indeed truly want to GM, to be a co-GM on the rules.
I'm already committed to GM a group in Interface Zero. I'm still trying to learn Savage Worlds... I don't know if I could handle prepping for two games - especially a Palladium system that has lengthy stat/skill/power building rules. I never stuck to any of the printed Palladium worlds/settings - I preferred to make up my own settings. What kind of Heroes Unlimited game were you looking for? I see there's a group looking for more players in the LFG tool. Have you checked them out?
The early Sunday group.  I have talked to them. I mean it depends on how many players you require minimum.  Some GMs have a minimum,  Most GM's don't do the solo game deal.  I love heroes with powers.  I dislike planet or dimension hopping and space.  I dislike random powers heroes, preferring heroes built from concepts.

Hell, I GM'd Heroes Unlimited for about a year with just my best friend as the sole player. Never thought anything of it until we started adding more people to the group. I dug up my old Heroes Unlimited book - man, I've forgotten so much! I literally haven't look at this game since high school. You don't like the updated version? I never have checked it out, but I remember seeing a 2nd edition. Would you consider playing a "supers" game using Savage Worlds? Or are you really hoping to use Palladium? We were kind of all over the place in our original campaigns. Don't think they ever went to other dimensions or space... but I'd do it totally different today. For quite a while I've thought about two different "super hero" games: The first takes place in a world similar to the movie "V for Vendetta" - a dystopian future America with a totalitarian government; A quasi communist dictatorship, militarized (perhaps even with robots) police, weapons are outlawed, suppression of freedoms, enforced curfews, etc. The heroes are young adults or teenagers who happen upon a long forgotten museum with artifacts of long-gone super heroes. I've thought maybe the artifacts are from notable DC super heroes (Batman's utility belt and gadgets, Wonder Woman's bracers, etc). The heroes take up the artifacts and adopt super hero monikers -- rising up to overthrow the oppressive government. The second idea takes place in a modern day setting. An isolated cosmic anomaly causes a small group of people (the player-characters) to gain amazing powers. The key to this game is they are the ONLY people in the world with super powers. Think about it. If you turned on your TV today and there was a news report of a person actually flying around -- The world would flip out! The government would likely intervene with cover-ups or kidnapping. People would revere the PC's as angels or gods - claiming them as messengers for different religions. Would the players revel in the fame? Get a corporate sponsorship and live lavishly? Try to hide away from the world? Actually take up a costume and try to change the world? What kind of enemies would a real life "super" have to contend with?
I don't have savage world rules and no income to be spending on game stuff.  That is why I was hoping for Palladium as that is the only game system I have after the decades of moving and such.  The first campaign idea sounds very interesting.  Not sure, how the second game would go.  The second setting could go so many different ways and with a group, it could be even more complicated if players don't agree on which way to go.
Well, I can teach Savage Worlds rather quickly - and I've only had it for about 2 months. There's also the  free test drive rules that will basically give you all you need to know as a player. I agree about the 2nd game idea - it very well could quickly become an issue of party dividing - but that's kind of the appeal for me. Not so much GMing multiple simultaneous story lines, lol, but more how would the players handle the power? I don't mind following/adapting the game to the player's ideas. It might be easier to contain party splitting if the player group was kept small. Maybe just 2 or 3 players max.

The 1st idea would require more world building on my part (since it's a fictional world). The 2nd idea would require far less world building - just more spontaneity on my part. Did you have an idea of a particular setup you'd like to play in? Just more of a traditional X-Men sort of setting?
Well you could do the first idea, using the real world, just corrupt the government of the area even more.  I have one hero idea, as a mutant, who has matter expulsion metal and mega wings.  If the group was small I would be open to the second setting.
