[LFG] [ 40K Dark Heresy 2nd Edition] [PST] Interest gauging Newbies welcome too

So I saw the other thread and I decided to put some feelers out as well since I'm not entirely sure if I have enough folks. Video is not mandatory, but voice is.  For those Interested I have some questions for you. 1. Are you relaxed, flexible, and easygoing people who enjoy terrible jokes? If the answer is yes then the Inquisition needs you! 2. Are you new to Warhammer 40k and/or the Dark Heresy rules? Don't be discouraged if the answer is no as I've written some docs that will hopefully streamline the character creation process that will help you understand some of the setting. However this reading is not mandatory. 3. Hours/days available? The rest of the crew has their schedules clear but that might change. 4. What kind of experience if any do you have? 5. Lastly what kind of player do you think you are? Anyways I'm looking forward to your response! I should be able to respond to your replies so stay tuned.
Aallnn, While I'm usually a GM for warhammer 40k games I'd love the opportunity to play in a game of dark heresy. 1. I've dealt with a wide variety of people over the years in various different games and across a wide breadth of genres. I don't think I've had a hard time getting along with any one of them. Flexibility may be more of an issue, as I work, so a set play time would be best -and in my experience it works best for group cohesion-. But from a gameplay perspective I love to accommodate what others want in a group -comes with being a GM for so long-. 2. I have played/ GM'd over 1,000 cumulative hours of Dark heresy 1&2, Rouge trader and only war. I have the second edition dark heresy rules and character creation on lock down. 3. I'd prefer to play on Saturday but I could make around 5 PM PST work most days during the work week.  4. I have hundreds of hours of experience with a bunch of different systems both through roll 20 and in person. 5. I'm what would be considered a strong lead or strong support. I'm outspoken and I try to make characters with personality or quirks that deviate them from the norm. I love creative solutions and grim decisions. I can be stubborn in playing to my character even if it means their death -which somehow just feels right for a 40k  game -. Anyways chances are I'll roll as a party lead or face if no one else steps up, or the party support/ comic relief if someone else wants to take the reins
Hey Zack. I appreciate your response but being flexible is sort of a requirement. A few of our schedules aren't entirely set in stone so that's why its needed. I think we're gonna be playing on weekdays in the afternoon. My apologies but if things change I'll be sure to keep you up to date.
1) Yes, I do have my pet peeves now & there but overall I like to get along with people & never make any drama. 2) Read 19 of the Horus Heresy Series, about 5 Omnibuses (Favorite was Ciaphas Cain). Used to play the tabletop game so read all the codexes as well at one point. I DM alot of D&D, ASOIF, M&M 3e, I tried running Rogue Trader once as a GM since no games were available. I don't have the entirety of the rules hammered down, however, I can make a character sheet without any assistance & generally know all the rules that involve my character, beyond that, I prefer to learn by watching as to not slow down the game. 3. Available on Sunday, Thursday, & Friday Evenings. Generally after 10 AM PST. I'm a 22 year old college student if that's necessary information. 4. I GM a massive amount more than I play. Been tabletop roleplaying for the last 10 years, however, never gotten to do any of the warhammer games as a player so I saw this post & thought I'd go ahead & give it a shot. 5. As a player, I like to play at least semi-realistically, but otherwise really love a good story. I like to craft large plans whether they're necessary or not, in pursuit of whatever goal I, or the party is after. That noble being a scumbag? need a large elaborate master plan to frame him? Got 'em. Murder scene with an assortment of clues? time to break out the magnifying glass. I have Teamspeak, Discord, Steam, Skype, etc. for whatever form of iirc you prefer. Looking forward to hearing back from you ^^.
Newbie to roll20 here, i've always been a fan of the WH40K setting and universe but haven't had any opportunity to get involved in any serious games for it. 1. I like to see myself as a relaxed guy that gets along with most people, provided any ribbing is in good fun and not a personal attack.  Regarding flexibility I do pretty well, I adapt pretty well to abrupt changes of schedule and I usually enjoy filling in missing roles in games as opposed to sticking to one role. Terrible jokes are definitely something I enjoy, if nothing else I am a man who enjoys all flavours of humour, even the most terrible of puns. 2.  I am completely new to the WH40K ruleset so you may have to bear with me and my inevitable confusion and floundering.  3. I am available post 1 p.m (GMT + 9) on all days with the exception of Tuesdays and Wednesdays where I am not available till 7:30 p.m.  My weekend times are far too random for me to give any concrete answer on times I am free but saturday 12 p.m and after is generally a safe bet.  4. I have no prior experience with the WH40K ruleset as stated above, I have minimal experience with tabletop D&D 5e however, I am nothing like a pro but it has helped me grasp the basics of how to properly roleplay during a session.  5. From what little experience I have I would call myself a man devoted to his role, more than one D&D session has had me playing an unintelligent character that makes horrible decisions leading to his obviously impending death. I enjoy acting within the full spectrum for roleplay sessions, comic relief, grim countenance and everything inbetween, which allows for a properly nuanced character with their own personality. Chances are I will relegate myself to a party support or bruiser, anything that isn't a leader role as I haven't quite grasped the ability to act out a true leader.

I'd love to join! 1. Are you relaxed, flexible, and easygoing people who enjoy terrible jokes? If the answer is yes then the Inquisition needs you! Yes to all. 2. Are you new to Warhammer 40k and/or the Dark Heresy rules? Don't be discouraged if the answer is no as I've written some docs that will hopefully streamline the character creation process that will help you understand some of the setting. However this reading is not mandatory. New-ish to Dark Heresy but very familiar with 40k. 3. Hours/days available? The rest of the crew has their schedules clear but that might change. Any, really. My own timezone is EST. 4. What kind of experience if any do you have? Not much with Roll20, but a lot with RPG systems, especially D&D. 5. Lastly what kind of player do you think you are? I love me some fantastical adventures and great immersion within an RPG. I enjoy embracing the character and playing them as their own character, not just as some statblock that I use to kill things with. I'm also a huge fan of 40k and everything related to it, be it the tabletops, video games, and lore/books, and have been looking for a Dark Heresy game for quite some time now. When it comes to what I actually play or would want to play for Dark Heresy, I'm an Imperium player and would prefer going the role of a Guardsman with an emphasis on Support.
Ash, Andrew, and Cross if you don't mind pming me your skype or steam or whatever you to contact me with. I'll be happy to answer any questions you have for me.  Hope to speak with you soon!
Hello, am fairly new but I really like this game and want to try it out. 1. Are you relaxed, flexible, and easygoing people who enjoy terrible jokes? If the answer is yes then the Inquisition needs you! I am alright regarding interaction and terrible jokes. And for Inquisition to route our Heretics so that they can be burned by promethium or turned into servitors, I am quite alright with it. 2. Are you new to Warhammer 40k and/or the Dark Heresy rules? Don't be discouraged if the answer is no as I've written some docs that will hopefully streamline the character creation process that will help you understand some of the setting. However this reading is not mandatory. I have played Dark Heresy 2.0 for some times so am familiar with the rules but I am not absolutely proficient. 3. Hours/days available? The rest of the crew has their schedules clear but that might change. Actually I live in UTC+5:30 which complicates several time slots, if something can be arranged then I will be fine. 4. What kind of experience if any do you have? I have played other roll playing games like D&D, CoC, Savage Worlds, Shadow of the Demon Lord, etc 5. Lastly what kind of player do you think you are? I think I am a fun loving player who really wants to enjoy a memorable session and good freindship within the party.
I'm very interested in this. 1. Yes, I'm relaxed and easy going. 2. I've only GM'd Dark Heresy 1E and Black Crusade.  Never been able to find a game I could be a player.  Love the 40k Warhammer books (I've read many of them) so I know the lore and setting well. 3. I'm available any night after 7pm PST except Tue. 4. I have been playing RPG's for over 20 years and have both played and GM'd many games on Roll20 (over 2,000 hours).  I enjoy D&D, Call of Cthulhu, Eclipse Phase, Savage Worlds, Dark Heresy, Star Wars (FFG rules), Deathwatch. 5. I play for the story and working with a group to overcome difficult situations.  I like a 40/60 mix of combat to roleplaying.  While rules are important I certainly don't mind the GM bending them for the sake of the story.

I am a relaxed player and enjoy playing games with friends. I have played every version of warhanmer game and games quite a few as well. I am very experienced with the systems. Oddly enough I haven't done any of the written books though just custom games.  my avilability is much more strict ... Saturday's around 10pm EST or later. i am a 50/50 player, I love the investigation portion of he game. But I believe in always being able to contribute in a fight in some meaningful way.
Bad news people. Unfortunately the group is full up. Don't be dismayed however. As one member of the party might be leaving after the intro mission so I will continue speaking with potential players. This is not entirely certain though.
I just wanted to say that Nick would be a great addition to the group. He ran a d&d game I was in and did a great job making an engaging RP experience. I can only imagine he'd do the same as a player.
Are you still looking for people, i played for a while... but i can't remember how to play at all, its all D&D 5e right now xD. But i would really like to play.
Greetings, Mon'keigh, I stopped by so you revelled in my presence for a while - saw me flex and stuff. (Lol, sorry...) I just wanted to support a 40k thread. Good on you for RPing in this great universe! And if you need an Eldar boss battle/temporary ally/voiced NPC, don't hesitate to reach out, brother. You won't get a better space elf anywhere else! Serendipity, -S
Quite interested if a spot becomes available. 1. Are you relaxed, flexible, and easygoing people who enjoy terrible jokes? If the answer is yes then the Inquisition needs you! Good gods, it's like you already know me... Yes. Yes, this is me. 2. Are you new to Warhammer 40k and/or the Dark Heresy rules? Don't be discouraged if the answer is no as I've written some docs that will hopefully streamline the character creation process that will help you understand some of the setting. However this reading is not mandatory. I was in a game a couple of years ago and loved it. I played a brutish Guardsman with an Int score so low he might have been subhuman. Made up for it with sheer strength though... Good gods, was that ever a fun character to play.  3. Hours/days available? The rest of the crew has their schedules clear but that might change. Tuesday through Thursday pretty much anytime. I work nights over the weekend through monday though, so Tuesday afternoon might be slightly challenging for me to make. Probably still could do it though. 4. What kind of experience if any do you have? See number two for specific Dark Heresy experience, but I also have substantial experience running and playing the Serenity RPG system as well as D&D 3.5, some 4E, Deadlands, Pathfinder, and a couple more less common ones. 5. Lastly what kind of player do you think you are? Laid back, goofy, love to work more towards story and character relationships than just grinding through, and I'm a bit of a magic items junkie. I confess, I do loves me some magic items. XD
Status update. So my original crew essentially dropped out so I am still looking for people.  Right now I'm speaking with those who want to play and checking schedules.
Do you have a set time slot yet ? I am still interested but limited on times...

1. Yes to all three 2. I have a limited bit of knowledge of Warhammer 40K.  I played in a Rogue Trader game and am currently playing a DH game at a store, but i don't know the universe inside and out. 3. Hours/days available? I could only really commit to Sunday afternoons 1-5pm, Saturday mornings, after 8pm Wednesday or 7 pm Fridays (All times EST). 4. What kind of experience if any do you have? I've played a lot of RPGs on here and play weekly at the store.  I also run a number of games and have GM'd 200 or so hours. 5. Lastly what kind of player do you think you are? I try to fit in with the group.  I prefer not to make decisions for everyone so I typically don't play a face but I'm not opposed to.  Usually I like to abide quietly or type my "actions" into the chat as background noise while the action is being decided in the foreground.
Apologies for not giving a set time. It looks like weekdays in the afternoons are what we're going with though. Generally around 1pm pst.

1. Man, I LOVE bad jokes. 2. Im a bit familiar with the 40k universe, but absolutely no experience with dark heresy. 3. Im available friday and saturday .  4. Again no experience with dark heresy, but have quite a few hours in DnD both as a DM and player. 5. Someone who values fun above rules, and love bad jokes.
1. I feel that I fit into all three of those categories. 2. I am currently still learning the rules of dark heresy, only war being the closest to it for me, and I am still learning more about the 40k Universe and fit it interesting. 3. I am only really available on fridays, trying to get a more schedule at work for the moment. 4, I have only really played only war, and while I found it interesting, I wanted to try something else. 5. I find that I enjoy fun more than anything, and try to work on more of the interaction and story side of things though I am not opposed to combat if need be. Thanks for reading and hope you consider me. Have a nice day.
1. Are you relaxed, flexible, and easygoing people who enjoy terrible jokes? I will say I'm all of these things and more. There will be no issue with a player such as myself. 2. Are you new to Warhammer 40k and/or the Dark Heresy rules? I'm not new to Warhammer40k at all. Played the Tabletop game for years along with the PC games and novels of all sorts. I'm pretty great when it comes to the lore of it all. 3. Hours/days available? Anytime after 5pm (Mountain TZ) during the weekdays but available any time on the weekends.  4. What kind of experience if any do you have? I have n experience with any RPG game such as DH, Black Crusade, D&D etc.. 5. Lastly what kind of player do you think you are? Very laid bad, tell bad jokes, serious when the situation calls for it and that is quite a few times in the campaign of course.  I do have the hard copy of DH 2nd edition and BC next to me as well and have been reading through both.
Strange I checked out the thread two days ago but it says here that one of the responses was nearly a week ago. Anyways I'd love to take you guys but the days we are currently playing on is either Tuesday or Thursday (or possibly both) at 1 pm PST.
Be great to join you but that early in the day is a game changer sadly.
Are you still looking for more people? I had an Assassin I built for another game that fell apart before it started I'd love to join with. Of course, I don't mind filling in the type of character the group needs either, if there's something lacking.
I would be both interested and available. My primary reason for having held off on posting was to make sure the date/time of the game wouldn't clash with anything.
Messaged you both.
If you ever change to a later time on week days, let me know and I'll be down
I could do Thursday's but not Tuesday's
