Alternative Trollresistant Rating System

Hello roll20 community, I am using roll20 for a few weeks now, and my single biggest complaint is the lack of a rating system for both players and DMs, so it can be a lot of hassle to get some decent people together in your game. Since traditional rating systems that are simply score based are hard to implement due to the simple fact that it falls easy victim to trolls and unmature players that simply downvote a person for the heck of it, i thought of a simple alternative that might be worth implementing to give some indication of the nature of a player. The system would allow granting players you played with honor points in different categories, that are all positive per se. An example would be: Friendly Helpful On Time Responsive Good Roleplayer Knows the Rules etc. If you find a player worthy of any such achievement while playing with him, you may grant him a point in one or more categories (maybe add a limit of 2 or 3 per player) Looking at the profile of a player you could just see how many "recommendations" he got in his playtime. The more the better other players rated him without having the option to "downvote". Downvoting would be simply not granting any recommendations. I think a system similar to this might be a good way to handle a rating system and hope that it gets some thoughts here on the forum :) greetings, zero
I'd support such a system personally. It's often used in several MMOnline games as well, for (amusingly enough) dungeon runs, something like "Pick the person you played with that you liked best". For something a little larger scale and less frequent like this, your idea of two or three points per person and multiple categories you could grant those points to sound good. Now my only question is where do I pull a vote from so I can support yours?
Thank you for your reply and your support of the idea :)

Allowing people to ascribe a rating to other people is not something we really want on Roll20, even though I understand why it would be useful to weed out toxicity in peer-driven games like tabletop. We don't foresee this feature being on our radar for a long time, at least until we can figure out the ethical implications of it. This type of feature can and has been very easily abused before. On toxic users though, that is why our dev and mod team is here. We absolutely want to weed out toxic users and abusive users but rating is not the way to do that. Reporting toxic behavior is. Please report any users that violate our code of conduct and if you don't see a report button on the relevant interaction, please email us at team@roll20.net I hope you understand our firm stance on this. I'll be closing this thread and releasing your votes.
