How to write a professional profile?

Just curious, what are some things DMs like to see on a person's profile when recruiting them to a game?

Your profile text looks pretty good when I looked. I would recommend to put your Availability for games (the times that you want to play on Roll20 including time zone) instead of putting your "work hours" (presumably you've put your Unavailable hours... but you probably also want to reserve other times for sleeping, breakfast, whatever, so it usually works best to simply say what times you CAN or want to play games on here).  Other details I like to see includes your background/experience with game systems and with Roll20 itself; which games you want to play; and in particular some sentence(s) about your gameplay style or preferences; and description of what kinds of roles or style you are looking for.

Thanks. This helps a lot! I don't know about other players but when I was scouting out people for when I was doing my noob GM campaigns I would always look at their profile before accepting them.

Only commenting from my personal experience, so might not be correct for everyone. I always look at grammar & syntax, I run alot of high narrative games so I feel its important people know how to do proper speech. Personal details that better define you also help make you stand out a bit more, shows you're interested in being seen as a person, not just a player. Show some creativity as a player, no particular way to do that though. Mainly I look at what people say in the LFGs I posted, & again, this is just from my own perspective, I know some GMs do first come, first serve but its a GM's market so  its understandably difficult to get a game. I try to make sure all the players I take are compatible with the group & everyone has a good time, I'm not trying to just assemble players, I'm trying to create a potential group of friends is more how I look at it. General advice on posting an app, don't be too familiar when you write, it can be seen a bit weird. Don't give blanket answers like "Ive played RPGs for 10 years  & I'm very easy to get along with", pretty much everyone says that, another difficult one is when I ask people if what kind of campaigns they like and what part of the game they like & 99% of the time the answer is "anything/everything". I get its difficult to find games but not every campaign is for everyone, I never take people who do the cop-out answer JUST to get in the campaign. Overall hope this general information/rant is useful to you.
