Creating Quick Identities for a Chat based game.

I'm running a chat based game and one of the issues I ran into last night is I can't quickly create identities on the fly. Every Identity you need to create a character and when you are playing a sandbox style you never know what you are going to need. Any suggestions would be nice. Besides create a bunch of random names ahead of time...
Taly, I think when you create a new character it creates a random name too. That is the best I can come up with.

If its that much of a problem you may want to just use a generic NPC identity and just type "[Persons Name]:" before what you post if you don't intend to have the NPC recur. I personally like having to make a character for that NPC as it lets me make notes about them and gives me a place to transcribed what they have done and said.

Not entirely clear on your terms, roll20, or your issue. Just a guess.

I believe Talysian is referencing that all Roll20 identities are based on the Journal Character sheets. In order to talk as another character (using the menu below the text window) you must create a journal character with that name. - Gauss
Oh, hey there oh great and powerful mod. Thx. Nice lookin' out.

I hope you realize that I am not the 'great and powerful mod'? I am a user that posted way too much and tried to be far too helpful. As a result I have been cursed with this responsibility. Know of a high level cleric with remove curse? (The above is a joke...sorta.) - Gauss
LOL ..... nerdilicious wit. Power corrupts, I think you're safe. I have the helping gene a bit myself, long as it doesn't get personal. Pretty sad ... "Always a bridesmaid..."
That's exactly what I meant, thank you Gauss for pointing it out ;) I guess I was hoping there would be a slash command that could create an Identity.
