Back on the ship

When the party arrives back on the ship a very frightened and shaken young man approaches each of you.  You all recall him from the visions as the brother Megera risked her life to save.  He hands each of you a gift.   'Please accept these gift on behalf of myself and my dear sister'  he begins to cry after handing the gifts to each on you and collapses into Malaya's arms.  'Why did they do that to our family?' Each of you will receive a PM with the details and letter included with your gift.  Trelic however will need to send me a PM first stating he will even accept and open the gift. PMs coming soon.

Elly tears up reading her letter and says softly , "Don't worry.  I'll take good care of them."   She pulls the beautiful gold and platinum bracers from the box and slides them onto her wrists, admiring the way they shine against her skin .  "I'll take care of these too."
If you open something here would be a good place to describe what others see if it is not small enough to hide from view.  The box for Trelic by the way is large.
Aww poor guy, he has been through so much. I'm glad Malaya is able to finally see a living family member.
Trelic will reject the gift stating "The vampire owes me nothing, I however do owe her something, I'll see to it that your family gets the justice it deserves and that she gets her peace. Keep it, or donate it to the church if you must be rid of it"

I did not think he would take it.  But hmmm what could it be <evil GM smile> that Megera would have gifted the Paladin that she would think he would take.
Professor Mirza opens his letter, then (from seemingly nowhere) unfurls a silk cloak, black and gold, with fancy stitching on the edges. Best way to describe the look is with pictures! So I found some of this random Ukrainian dude!
Gotta admit, all the cool stuff everyone is getting makes me curious and a bit jealous. but no! must... stay... strong!

I can tell you this Trelic would ask one question... 'How?' Love the random Ukrainian guy wearing the Professor's cloak.
With $188 USD and 5-7 weeks of waiting, you can have your own built to order cloak, handmade in ukraine.
That dude is clearly in Mirza cosplay.

Fenthwick hides a small gold object with a red shine into his pouch. He has a curious but relieved expression on his face.
Malaya wraps her arms around her brother, holding him tightly, her gift lying forgotten on the floor. "I don't know," she says to him, trying desperately not to make her voice shake. "I'm sorry I wasn't there. But it'll be okay. I promise." When Malaya finally pulls away, she reads a letter, which vanishes into flame in her hand, and pulls out of the box a suit of finely crafted chain mail. She looks over at Trelic, who has refused his gift, and says firmly, "The vampire has a name," before carefully opening the gift intended for Trelic, revealing a suit of armor to the group. The ancient mithril plate armor shines in the light for the first time in over 400 years. The Lightpoint spear pulls Trelic towards the open box. Once the armor is in direct view of the spear the hidden sigil appears once again on the armor--the true coat of arms of house Lightpoint. Trelic has heard stories, but not since Trelic the second had seen the freshly minted armor of the dwarves on his Father's chest has a Lightpoint heir seen this armor, a gift crafted with the spear to honor his family line. The letter inside spoke aloud as soon as Malaya opened the crate. "Trelic, I hope you are close enough to this gift when I assume Elly opens it. I present to you a gift long lost to the ages that longs to be with its family again. Wear it with pride and honor but always know deep inside where it comes from and know that which is lost can always be found once more." Malaya gives Trelic a pointed look before returning to her brother.
Out of character, guys, Malaya's AC is just ridiculous now =D And Kain, I'm PM-ing you the stats of the armor from John, if Trelic actually decides to use it.
Having two tanks in the group should be very helpful for what is to come
Oh boy...
Talia reads her letter, then looks over at Malaya happy to see that she is reunited with her brother now. As the letter disappears it's replaced with a shortbow of range and a quiver which appears empty.  As Talia reaches inside the quiver, as soon as her hand passes the opening, an arrow appears in her hand. Talia grins with a sly smile, thinking of the endless arrows that will soon be shot.
Trelic starts to snap back that she HAD a name before she made a deal with the devil. but thinks better of it and instead just silently watches as Malaya opens the present. As he feels Lightpoint drawing him towards the box, his jaw drops open when he sees the ancient mithril plate. 'This is the legendary armor the dwarves made for my family' he thinks. Momentarily his eyes soften, feeling a mix of guilt and self doubt that Meg is actually evil just for being a vampire, in the situation she faced, what human would have had the willpower to do the right thing? Just as quickly however, his eyes reharden, there is no way she could have had our family armor legitly! It must have been stolen or otherwise a magical trap. Trelic takes the armor and begins to inspect it closely, feeling for even the faintest trace of evil in the armor, praying to Malak'n for guidence.

As Trelic touches the armor a vision appears before everyone (R2D2 style) an ancient message placed upon the armor that was meant to go from Father to son.  Trelic Prime stands before you, you have never seen his image but you just know, everyone else sees several features that are present in the image and in Trelic.   'My son I pray that you pick up my mantle and fight for the weak as I have.  I have served my time caring for those less capable.  I am told by the dwarves that my tasks will be legend but I don't do this for glory I don't do this for recognition I do what I do for those who cannot.  May Malak'n bless you and your family my son.' Trelic has seen a vision meant for the second of his line sent from the first of his line, his feelings are clear at least on the armor that it is his family's armor lost to the generations in the epic fight where Trelic Prime with his friends repelled the dread dragon goddess Tiamat. The vision fades forever to be lost as it was only set to play one time for his son but you were the first person that has touched this armor that could unlock its message.
Trelic, feeling relieved that the armor is real and safe, dons it. The sun shines brightly off the ornately etched mithril. 'I will make sure this gift does not go to waste.' Turning to Malaya he says 'Let Meg know I owe her twice now'
/ooc as John proceeds to tell us that Megs plan has worked and the earlier wine has created a reaction with the gifts we put on, turning us all into ghouls. Meg proceeds to make an undead army and kills the viceroy taking over the capital and puting the land into unending darkness.
/ooc actually, Trelics AC wont change that much from the previous fight even with this armor. (Think on average ill be at 19 instead of 18) but I should be doing a fair bit more damage, so you may end up being the main tank depending on the stats of your armor Malaya.
I think their armor are about the same, but Malaya just has the bigger Dex bonus. I think her AC is 22 with the new armor, 23 with her rapiers out. But 19's pretty damn tanky too.
Holy fudge, 23 while dual wielding? Even with my shield I can't get  that much. Guess you can go first! LOL

Whatevs You're a Dragoon not a Palladin. DPS is your job ;)
Ahah unless I get an insperation every other attack I don't think I can be a dragoon. I just worry what we are going to fight that can hit 23. Either she'll be a goddess or the monsters will rip through you guys like paper

Yeah I'm kind of scared since I'm usually trying to melee these suckers too and my AC is nowhere NEAR that lol
If only mage hand could wield a rapier for you Elly.
Lol wouldn't that  be something... ...John?  XD
Yeah, thinking about it, no dex penalty on full plate is kinda game breaking for a finesse fighter. For Trelic that armor effectively is just +1 Full plate because he couldn't care less about dex stuff, but full plate still very powerful for level 4. The thing with super high AC at low levels is it makes all fights very binary, either they are strong enough they can hit you and one shot your HP almost when they do, or they can't hit you at all and it's no challenge. I'm trying to mentally picture Malaya on the other hand, full plate with 2 rapiers out and it seems a bit off. Ring or Chain mail may be more appropriate if you wanna do the whole no dex penalty for her armor.
Malaya's armor is Elvin Chain but dont worry I have several thing planned

Well, if you want to picture it visually, the armor is chain mail, not plate, haha. Great, say goodbye to Malaya guys. I bet she's going down first now.

Chain gets her to 23 ac?!? She must have a +7 dex bonus or something? LOL. OK though, I'll trust you on it. Edit: Haha, Trelic better not get Malaya mad though, she would totally destroy him in any fight, i'd need to get an 18 to even hit you.
The Viceroy has stats!!  woohooo as does his guards, his spy master and his wizard.  Should be a cool fight
Oh man, I bet it's going to get crazy. Are we going to have to fight this assassin that cuts ogres in half?
I can't tell you that!!
I'll take that as a yes.
