Why is it so hard to find a good game of Tabletop RPG about a plot meant for people to play characters that will eventually become heroes. Stories like Fire Emblem, Bleach, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of Caribbean, no one seems to want to do those as an RPG. I've been seeing a lot of "character driven" stories but that doesn't work, characters are a catalyst of change, whether it be good or bad, players will change something about the world the GM has presented. Now I am not one for heavy dungeon crawl, I like combat but a story that is nothing but dungeon crawl (like elemental evil from 5e) is not a fun story. Stories keep us on the edge, get us excited for adventure, scared by big bad guys and the feels when an NPC princess is taken away. Is there a game that is like that, a game of heores with a swell GM, with a swell plot and swell players who I can talk to after the game about random bullshit and have fun working together in an RPG. As a side note, why do players play edge lord loners, it makes no sense, this is a social game so why make a character who hates the party? Anyways, PM me, the sytem doesnt matter but highly prefer d20 systems and the time schedule is open
