Repeat this Mantra before your eval: I deserve good things, I am entitled to my share of happiness. I refuse to beat myself up. I am an attractive person. I am fun to be with. I'm Good Enough, I'm Smart Enough, and Doggone It, People Like Me!
I am also likely to be late on Thursday.  My in-laws will be visiting.  Thanks for the mantra Pete, I might need it too.

If in-laws stay past 6:00, that's just rude (unless in from out of town). I used to change into my "bummy clothes" around then. They got the point and always left at 6:00.
Due to the presence of in-laws in my house, I'm going to go ahead and cancel this Thursday.  Feel free to blue-book stuff. Keep in mind that you arrived just in time for the debate / discussion - so you might want to plan around that.

Out-of-town visit.  Only happens a few times each year.
Yaz wants to make sure that the Neon Tygers have access to gov't computer and monitoring systems, to help with monitoring for Sathar intrusions, of course, given our expertise. Please note this would be only for the protection of our citizens, we dont know what the Sathar are up to and this is no time to sit idel. At the same time, we can not alarm the populace and it would be best if a small group like Neon Tygers would help in that monitoring, of course reporting any findings to the appropriate governmental agencies. Our fees would be small, only enough to cover our expenses, I'm sure all agree that is fair. Yaz would humbly serve as the administrator for this program and be the liaison to government. I still think Joseph should be in a key position, let's face it of all candidates Joseph is the most trustworthy and as such any government structure that is discussed includes Joseph in a key position, including President as an option.
Does Joseph have the will to make the tough call, being a pacifist? Inquiring minds want to know.
I'd play Joseph as best I can based on what I understand of him.  As I recall, he wasn't a strict pacifist - he was willing to oppose enemies who he saw as clearly troublesome. By that, I mean non-combative assistance.  For example, I don't recall him ever making an attack roll.  Would he if he had to? I get the feeling that if he was pressed to make a decision between two evils (in his mind), he would choose the lesser. How would he behave as president?  Well, he clearly didn't object strenuously to your behavior, so I think he understands that force is sometimes necessary to maintain a benevolent society. However, he wouldn't want to personally be that force.  Somewhat hypocritical, but very understandable. Your suspicion is that many or most OuterReachers have such a different philosophy that they aren't electing him b/c he's respectable, but because they think he'll be weak, so he'll leave them alone.  The question is whether there is any steel inside that blobby fist.
