Moving chat notification box

Hello, The games that I run and play in tend to be very text heavy. Rather than using voice we've become used to typing everything out as we feel it is more immerse despite the obvious slowdowns which occur from playing it that way. A result of this is that anytime someone begins to type something, the "Person X is typing" message pops up at the bottom of the screen, pushing the chat log up, which results in a continual bouncing up and down of the chat window as the message appears and disappears. It's gotten to the point where one of the players has stated it's even made him sick. (Which is funny, I laugh at him when this happens) Anyway, I was wondering if in the future it would be possible to make it so that the chat notification could be moved to a different area of the screen so that way it isn't constantly bumping the text up and down as it pops in and out. My players would really appreciate it! Thanks a lot! :)

As a GM/player I agree with this and would go one step further: I would like to see the chat box not move at all when you are scrolled upwards. It makes it hard to read old messages when they continually move because someone else is entering new text. - Gauss
Yes please!
The bouncing chat pane is a great annoyance in an otherwise very pleasant roll20 experience. It makes it very difficult to read while anyone else is typing. The typing notifications themselves are appreciated, however, so I would suggest something as simple as creating a permanent space for the notifications to display - rather than having it appear and disappear as needed. That same area that they pop up now is fine, just make it ever-present and it'd be great!
The bouncing chat thing has caused some confusion in the D&D sessions I've played in. Someone will start to type something and then stop or delete what they had typed in and the notification went away. Quite a few times, players and even the DM have thought that a new roll was added. This is particularly troublesome when it was the DM that just rolled a 20!
yes, bouncing is very annoying.
Agreed - probably keep the who is typing box in place and just put the names of whoever is texting at the time, so the chat log isn't continually moved up and down while people are typing.
