LFP - Weekly D&D Campaign [Monday 5:30 pm GMT]

Hi! Thanks for the interest in the game! My name's Daniel, I'm 22, I've been playing RPGs for more than 4 years now and DMing for about half a year now and now I've decided to tackle 5th edition now for the first time as a DM, set in my own home-brew setting, which, if described shortly and roughly, would translate to kind of a more fantasy version of Game of Thrones - various noble houses competing for power in the setting(that's not all that is to it of course, just a quick and rough point of reference). Hoping to run a relatively balanced game in terms of combat/RP/encounters, a good story with a solid degree of player freedom and that everyone involved has fun! At the moment the party consists of a Human Ranger, Half-Elf Bard and Eladrin Monk. We'll be starting at level 3. As for what kind of player I'm looking for - looking for someone that is a team player and is willing to work with everyone, someone that's narrative focused and gets in character while playing, someone that can consistently make the weekly sessions at the specified time for a period of about 3 hours or so (5:30 pm GMT mondays) and someone that has a working mic and (strongly preferable) cam. (So I can see your terrified faces, of course! Mwahahahaha!) So if you'd like to apply, post below and tell a bit about yourself, your gaming experience, what kind of player you are, what do you like in a game and/or anything else that you think that me and the group should know. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to PM me. Cheers!
Hi Daniel! I'm Jack; I'm 21 years old and live in the Eastern time zone of the U.S. I'm a relatively new player (started my first campaign a few months ago) and I've been looking to get back to playing now that my University has let out for the summer. I'm a big fan of fantasy settings (Lord of the Rings being somewhat of an obsession of mine), and as such that's exactly what I look for in a good campaign: world-building, character interactions, the whole nine yards. I'm not a professional actor by any means, but I do enjoy being in character and would very much like more practice in it. Based on what you've put in your introductory post, I feel that I could fit in well with you and your group! Just a quick question though: do you have a preferred character creation method, i.e. standard stat spread or 4d6 drop 1? Thanks for your consideration! Regards, Jack
