Wanderers of Alumbia: The Wastelander Chronicles Two player slots open for a weekly Thursday night pathfinder game. Homebrew game world, been working on it for about 9 months in Roll20 (maps, music, NPC's, etc). Epic storyline. Story Backdrop Currently, a group of four adventurers has successfully escaped the city of Cythnar's Gate, being the wrongly-accused fugitives of the crown. Having secured passage on a ship heading to the northern continent during a harrowing escape, they seek to elude their pursuers and seek to forge new paths across the sea. Characters joining the group next Thursday would have the option of choosing the story background of a pirate, privateer, a pirate prisoner, or a marooned sea-farer (think Life of Pi, without the pet tiger). This is not a "sea campaign", it's just where the group is currently. Group consists of a Fighter, Barbarian, Paladin, and Inquisitor. The group would like to have a potent healer, and good ranged capability to round things out. Characters can do pretty much whatever, but there are plot hooks that compel characters to engage in an epic storyline. Any non-evil alignments allowed. Be mindful of group composition however when creating your character. Character Gen Guidelines Lv 3 characters, max HP each level. Players roll their HP's at level 4 and up. 20 point buy for races 10RP and lower. Races over 10RP subtract the overage from the point buy (ie, an Aasimar wound have a 15 point buy). E8 Rules. That means 8 is the max level, but characters do get periodic feat and skill upgrades, and of course, better equipment. 3000 gold to buy starting gear. 2 traits Any class but no animal companions or eidolons (I hate clutter). Player Guidelines Looking for team players that are good communicators. The main question I ask when considering a player is, "How will this person enhance the game's culture?". Prior experience isn't necessary, a person of average intelligence can easily learn the game. Big emphasis on roleplaying. You can optimize your character (you might need to actually), but optimizing and RPing aren't mutually exclusive. You should enjoy combat, because there's lots of it. If you die, don't feel bad, just re-roll a new character - it's a tough world. Know-it-alls (ie - most Pathfinder society venture captains or veteran GM's with chips on their shoulders) are quickly replaced. Apathetic players who miss sessions (even once), show up late, or don't stay excited about the game are quickly replaced. Rules lawyers who accuse me of "GM bullshittery" are quickly replaced. I live by the golden rule; "He who has the gold makes the rules.". That'd be me. Weekly commitment required. Mic and headset required, we play over Skype. What Players Get A stable game. If you've been around for a while on roll20, you'll know how much of a challenge this is. We play every week, on time. An epic storyline in an epic setting. Also hard to find. I'm forced to GM because most other GM's I've played with suck, but I also like to GM. Evolved game world (9 months of blood, sweat and tears creating the setting). Generous loot (it's fun to "build up" a character). Amazing maps, background music, and sound effects (I really love roll20 - best VTT ever). A good group of gamers. Next Steps Add to skype and we'll talk. natethegreat976
