Questions on supporter status

Hey there!  Hope this is the best place for this. I'm thinking of signing up to be a supporter, and needed some clarification on a few things. 1. If I get the plus package (50$ a year) and then wish to upgrade to the pro later, would I be charged the full price at that point? I wouldn't think so, but can't hurt to be sure.  2. Tablet support. I'm going to be the DM so I thought to get myself the upgraded account. Yet my wife is going to be a player, and wants to use her tablet. Would she need the plus level account as well, or would my having one as DM allow her to use her tablet?  Thanks for reading, and happy gaming out there ;) V

Hi Vicky, upgrading from plus to pro at a later date would mean that you just need to pay the difference. For full details regarding payment, especially with regards to annual packages, I would refer you to the email address <a href="mailto:team@roll20.net" rel="nofollow">team@roll20.net</a> . I want to upgrade my current subscription. How does that work? The basic gist is: we'll fairly compensate you for the remaining time on your current subscription, you won't lose out on any money by upgrading part-way through your current subscription. Here's the nitty-gritty details. All upgrades are pro-rated. For example, if you upgrade from a Plus, Monthly account to a Pro, Monthly account, and it's half-way through your monthly subscription period, you would receive a credit for 50% of the cost of the Plus, Monthly subscription, which is applied toward your new Pro, Monthly subscription. Note: You WILL NOT be charged immediately when upgrading your subscription, instead you will be charged on your normal renewal date for the small amount of time that was left in the month, plus the normal monthly rate. The status of the creator of the game determines the benefits seen by all participants in that game. With a DM who is a supporter all players will see and benefit from dynamic lighting within that game, they won't have adverts when loading the VTT and tablet support etc. Please see the tablet support&nbsp; documentation however to ensure that compatibility wouldn't be an issue.
Excellent! I was like, 80% sure of those answers, though having confirmation is a relief. Thanks!

The Dynamic lighting alone is worth the upgrade. You'll enjoy it.

Hate adding a "me too" to a post but I agree wholeheartedly - Dynamic Lighting is superb. I eventually upgraded to Pro for the special effects... and largely to support Roll20 too. &nbsp; There's one-click install of some cool API features which can be incredible for some systems and requires no coding background to add them to games. Happy gaming!
The fx stuff on pro sound interesting, but I doubt i'd be able to make use of it when i'm still struggling with the basics. If i can figure out dynamic lighting, i'd be surprised lol

Personally I think Dynamic Lighting is pretty easy. If you run into issues, there are plenty of resources on the forums and the wiki to explain things.

If you go to the pro status, take a serious look at the one click API. I've made a macro that incorporates stat rolling with a API script that creates a blank character sheet already assigned to the player. These speeds up character creations a lot even though the player still has to fill out the sheet manually.
Well, I went and did it, going for the pro. I have my doubts I'll be able to figure the cool stuff out, but I've wanted to do more to support roll20 for years. Now for the experimentation to begin.

Welcome to the gang, remember you won't become a master over night but take it slow and use the forums and you'll be as barely competent as the rest of us in no time :)

Yep, you can even join us script kiddies that don't actually know anything about coding, and just rely on The Aaron to guide us through our fumbling code attempts ;). But seriously, you'll find it extremely useful, and the things that the API make possible are astounding. As Ziechael said, welcome.

I'm into my 2nd year of Pro now. I find the API the most useful. The TokenMod, TokenNameNumber, and PowerCards API scripts have made my games so much nicer to run that it's hard to imagine not having them again. I've not needed Dynamic Lighting at all, being a 13th Age GM. ;-)
