A group of travelers have been brought together by the dwarf Gundren Rockseeker to escort a wagon of goods to the town of Phandalin. The town itself was once a prosperous centre of trade, especially for metals, until the orcs laid waste to the North. Phandalin and the surrounding area was completely wiped out. Five hundred years later and settlers have finally begun to reclaim the area. The land has changed a lot and dangers abound. But there is still the promise of riches to be found, which draws bandit, monster and adventurer alike. ******************************************************************** Hi there,unfortunately a few of our players dropping out due to real life things so we are in the market for some extra muscle. You would be joining us at level 4 and part way through this published adventure. I am hoping that at the end we will be able to carry on though there will be a discussion about whether people want new characters or to keep the old ones. New players are very welcome, this is my first time GMing and most of our players first time playing. If you need help building a character then that is something I can help with. What I'm really looking for is players who are enthusiastic, turn up each week ready to go and are willing to have a bucket of fun. I've been really lucky so far with good players and I'd like to keep it up. The game will be played on Sundays at 7:00pm BST and will be played weekly. This is quite important, the time is fixed, please do not apply if you cannot commit to the time. I am reserving the right to veto any character decisions that I feel either are too complex for me right now or that I don't feel sit right with the character/world. We are currently at level 3, probably moving onto 4th very soon. For the moment I am only allowing characters to be built from the PHB just for my own sanity. I am hoping to expand my knowledge and collection of reference materials. For the style of the game we are striking a balance of roleplay and combat though the adventure itself leans more towards combat. I tend to be a little loose with the rules to keep the game flowing and if something sounds super awesome then I will probably allow it. On the flip side though, I ask that people respect my decisions and if there are any big disagreements then talk to me privately out of session. I give every one my skype and email and we have an out of game skype group for anything like that.
